Personal Note
I would like to add that I am constantly looking to improve my knowledge,
experience and capabilities not only by studying in my own time but with asking a lot
of questions from more experienced people. I am not arrogant enough to believe that
I know it all no matter how many times I have carried out the task and know that
someone can always bring something to the table. I look for those chances to broaden
my knowledge and I always carry a note pad around with me to write down the
nuggets of experience that I hear in the answers from my questions to experienced
people and use those experiences and notes to apply in situations as often as possible
to gain firsthand experience.
I thoroughly enjoy working in the signalling division of the railway. It has an impact
on every aspect of the railway and I have found that my P-way background has helped
me in signalling in that, I can work with and fluidly talk to P-way, welding gangs,
tamper crews and ultrasonic teams when the need arises to work together.
Many thanks
