Use Case
● Synchronize Salesforce with data lake
● Limited or none custom development on Salesforce side
● High data volume
○ Main entity > 100 M records
○ At least 5 related entities (cardinality from N up to 32 x N)
● All records need to be accessible in real time
● Not all records are crucial for daily routine
● Filtering and search capabilities are needed
● Expected 50 TPS but can grow in the future
● Max 500 ms processing time (with some exceptions)

Limitations and results

SF Limitations
•Max 1 M callout per hour (277 TPS)
•No standard record level sharing
•Limited SOQL (e.g. not inner joins)
•Reporting practically not usable (max 2000 records)
Conclusions from POC
•DB optimization is a key (Mulesoft overhead around 100
ms)
•Quantity over quality (more replicas >> high number of
vcores)
