operational planning with a reputation for successfully executing planning related goals and objectives in higher
education, arts management, and service related organizations. I hold a Ph.D. in an Interdisciplinary Fine Arts
Doctorial program with additional in-depth training in management and leadership. I am an organizational leader

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Vice President for Academic Affairs, With Additional Duties - Wildwood Campus 2009 – 2016
St. Louis Community College, St. Louis, MO
 Provided leadership as the chief academic officer of the Wildwood campus
 Provided leadership to the district as a member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Group and Dean’s Council
 Chief administrative and operations officer on the Wildwood campus, including planning and overseeing the campus budget
 Acted as Interim Campus President May 2013 – May 2014
 Additional duty as Interim Director of Student Affairs Summer 2014
 Additional duty as Interim Tutor Coordinator Fall 2015
 Provided guidance and facilitation in my role as liaison to the units of Information Technology, Physical Facilities, Marketing
and Communication, and School and Community Partnerships for the Wildwood campus and district-wide.
 Achievements include:
o Led efforts with Metro-Transit St. Louis and local Mayors and County Council members to schedule bus service to the
Wildwood campus.
o Worked with community partners to develop two annual $500 scholarships for “Collegiate Volunteer Leaders”
o Facilitated the offerings of four programs, three degree options, two certifications at the Wildwood campus
o Partnered with the Florissant Valley campus to offer the Deaf Communication Studies program at Wildwood.
o Partnered with the Forrest Park campus to offer Hospitality and Tourism programs on the Wildwood campus.
o Partnered with the STLCC – Meramec campus to offer the Criminal Justice program on the Wildwood campus.
o Hired eight new full-time faculty in Communications, Economics, Psychology, Math, Science and English
o Successful transition to two new campus course schedules, one to adjust afternoon schedules to accommodate dual
enrollment students traveling from the Rockwood and Meramec Valley School Districts.
o Led a district-wide taskforce for the transition to a completely on-line schedule for St. Louis Community College
o Partnered with multiple community partners to offer campus’ first theatre productions
o Partnered with multiple community partners, artists, and faculty to establish the Campus’s outdoor sculpture exhibits
o Partnered with the University of Missouri – St. Louis to offer special speaker presentations
o Established the STLCC—Wildwood native and sustainable plant identification project
o Proposed and received approval by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for a trail to connect the STLCC-
Wildwood campus with Rockwood Reservations that would create a two-mile walking route.
o St. Louis Community College’s Wildwood chapter of Phi Theta Kappa named a five-star chapter five years running
o Led the development of the STLCC-Wildwood campus master plan, and planning for phase II of the campus.

Interim Campus President - Wildwood Campus May 2013 – May 2014

 Provided leadership for the Wildwood campus, organize and led operations and academic programs
 Provided day-to-day management of the campus, oversee campus operations, a six million dollar budget and performance
objectives for the campus
 Achievements include:
o Led the development of the 2013-2014 campus plan
o Secured Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, and hired additional staff and faculty
o Led the campus Emergency Response Team to develop and carry out a series of training drills
o Partnered with the City of Wildwood’s Planning and Zoning Commission to approve a campus sign located on city
property.
o Partnered with Commerce Bank, KPLR-Channel 11, and Meteorology Students to fund campus weather station
o Developed and implemented a campus-wide recognition program that was available to all students, faculty and staff
o Initiated plan to expand office space for campus police officers
o STLCC – Wildwood named 2014 Business of the Year by the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce
o Developed partnerships with college, community and governmental veterans support services to create the first
“March Muster” a combined resource fair for veterans for the Wildwood campus service area.
Dean, Arts and Humanities Division January 2004 – July 2009
St. Charles Community College, Cottleville, MO
 Led an academic unit consisting of eight full-time staff, thirty-two full-time and over eighty part-time faculty
 Provided leadership of the division, oversaw all division operations, managed a four-million-dollar budget and division planning.
 Managed multiple departments and programs including Art, English, Foreign Language, Graphic Design, Music, Philosophy,
Global Studies, Speech/Communication, Reading and Theatre
 Achievements include:
o Working with the foundation and individual programs to increase the Arts and Humanities allocation from $7,000 in
2004 to over $70,000 in 2009
o Hiring eight new full time instructors and four new staff positions for the division
o The expansion of Mass Communication and English as a Second Language classes
o The creation of the Reading program including hiring the first full time Reading instructor for St. Charles
o Secured $15,000 from the Flow Controls Division of Emerson Electric for replacement theatre rigging and curtains
Theatre Program Coordinator/Fine Arts Production Manager August 1999 – December 2003
Angelina College, Lufkin, TX
 Developed the curriculum and class schedules for the program
 Supervised and developed the course loads of all the full and part-time theatre faculty and staff
 Developed cooperative relationships with area Universities Public Schools and Theatre organizations
 Developed and managed the budget for the Theatre program
 Coordinated and managed production budgets for Fine Arts Division productions housed in the theatre facility
 Performed as the recruitment officer for the Angelina College Theatre program.
 Achievements include:
o Led Faculty Advisor for the Angelina Center for the Arts
o Consistent high rankings for students competing in play festivals
o Increasing curriculum offerings to include Costuming, Theatre History and Acting III
o Successful transferring of students to university theatre programs.

 Developed the production calendar for the Division of Fine Arts

I hold a Ph.D. in an Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Doctorial program with additional in-depth training in management and leadership. I am an organizational leader and advocate at all levels with strong interpersonal and communication skills. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Vice President for Academic Affairs, With Additional Duties - Wildwood Campus 2009 – 2016 St. Louis Community College, St. Louis, MO  Provided leadership as the chief academic officer of the Wildwood campus  Provided leadership to the district as a member of the Academic Affairs Leadership Group and Dean’s Council  Chief administrative and operations officer on the Wildwood campus, including planning and overseeing the campus budget  Acted as Interim Campus President May 2013 – May 2014  Additional duty as Interim Director of Student Affairs Summer 2014  Additional duty as Interim Tutor Coordinator Fall 2015  Provided guidance and facilitation in my role as liaison to the units of Information Technology, Physical Facilities, Marketing and Communication, and School and Community Partnerships for the Wildwood campus and district-wide.  Achievements include: o Led efforts with Metro-Transit St. Louis and local Mayors and County Council members to schedule bus service to the Wildwood campus. o Worked with community partners to develop two annual $500 scholarships for “Collegiate Volunteer Leaders” o Facilitated the offerings of four programs, three degree options, two certifications at the Wildwood campus o Partnered with the Florissant Valley campus to offer the Deaf Communication Studies program at Wildwood. o Partnered with the Forrest Park campus to offer Hospitality and Tourism programs on the Wildwood campus. o Partnered with the STLCC – Meramec campus to offer the Criminal Justice program on the Wildwood campus. o Hired eight new full-time faculty in Communications, Economics, Psychology, Math, Science and English o Successful transition to two new campus course schedules, one to adjust afternoon schedules to accommodate dual enrollment students traveling from the Rockwood and Meramec Valley School Districts. o Led a district-wide taskforce for the transition to a completely on-line schedule for St. Louis Community College o Partnered with multiple community partners to offer campus’ first theatre productions o Partnered with multiple community partners, artists, and faculty to establish the Campus’s outdoor sculpture exhibits o Partnered with the University of Missouri – St. Louis to offer special speaker presentations o Established the STLCC—Wildwood native and sustainable plant identification project o Proposed and received approval by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for a trail to connect the STLCC- Wildwood campus with Rockwood Reservations that would create a two-mile walking route. o St. Louis Community College’s Wildwood chapter of Phi Theta Kappa named a five-star chapter five years running o Led the development of the STLCC-Wildwood campus master plan, and planning for phase II of the campus.

Patrick Vaughn page 2 Interim Campus President - Wildwood Campus May 2013 – May 2014 St. Louis Community College, St. Louis, MO  Provided leadership for the Wildwood campus, organize and led operations and academic programs  Provided day-to-day management of the campus, oversee campus operations, a six million dollar budget and performance objectives for the campus  Achievements include: o Led the development of the 2013-2014 campus plan o Secured Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, and hired additional staff and faculty o Led the campus Emergency Response Team to develop and carry out a series of training drills o Partnered with the City of Wildwood’s Planning and Zoning Commission to approve a campus sign located on city property. o Partnered with Commerce Bank, KPLR-Channel 11, and Meteorology Students to fund campus weather station o Developed and implemented a campus-wide recognition program that was available to all students, faculty and staff o Initiated plan to expand office space for campus police officers o STLCC – Wildwood named 2014 Business of the Year by the West St. Louis County Chamber of Commerce o Developed partnerships with college, community and governmental veterans support services to create the first “March Muster” a combined resource fair for veterans for the Wildwood campus service area. Dean, Arts and Humanities Division January 2004 – July 2009 St. Charles Community College, Cottleville, MO  Led an academic unit consisting of eight full-time staff, thirty-two full-time and over eighty part-time faculty  Provided leadership of the division, oversaw all division operations, managed a four-million-dollar budget and division planning.  Managed multiple departments and programs including Art, English, Foreign Language, Graphic Design, Music, Philosophy, Global Studies, Speech/Communication, Reading and Theatre  Achievements include: o Working with the foundation and individual programs to increase the Arts and Humanities allocation from $7,000 in 2004 to over $70,000 in 2009 o Hiring eight new full time instructors and four new staff positions for the division o The expansion of Mass Communication and English as a Second Language classes o The creation of the Reading program including hiring the first full time Reading instructor for St. Charles o Secured $15,000 from the Flow Controls Division of Emerson Electric for replacement theatre rigging and curtains Theatre Program Coordinator/Fine Arts Production Manager August 1999 – December 2003 Angelina College, Lufkin, TX  Developed the curriculum and class schedules for the program  Supervised and developed the course loads of all the full and part-time theatre faculty and staff  Developed cooperative relationships with area Universities Public Schools and Theatre organizations  Developed and managed the budget for the Theatre program  Coordinated and managed production budgets for Fine Arts Division productions housed in the theatre facility  Performed as the recruitment officer for the Angelina College Theatre program.  Achievements include: o Led Faculty Advisor for the Angelina Center for the Arts o Consistent high rankings for students competing in play festivals o Increasing curriculum offerings to include Costuming, Theatre History and Acting III o Successful transferring of students to university theatre programs. Technical Director August 1992 – July 1999 Angelina College, Lufkin, TX  Managed the operations of the Angelina College Fine Arts Auditorium  Supervised student and contract labor  Developed the production calendar for the Division of Fine Arts  Maintained the Angelina College Theatre facility and its equipment  Managed the production budget of the Angelina College Theatre Program  Achievements include: o Development of a strong technical theatre component within the program o Led student and campus facilities to prepare Hudgens Hall stage and performance spaces for Music performance o Planned and oversaw the remodeling of storage areas into functional back stage spaces.

Patrick Vaughn page 3 RELATED EXPERIENCE President July 2006 – July 2008 St. Charles County Arts Council, O’Fallon, MO  Oversight of the deliberations of the Board of Directors  Liaison between SCCAC, artists and arts associations  Advocate with the Missouri Arts Council, Missouri Association of Arts Councils and St. Louis Regional Arts Council  Acted as an advocate at the state capitol, St. Charles County Board of Aldermen, chambers of commerce, St. Charles Community Council, Rotary and Kiwanis.  Achievements included: o Secured $15,000 each year for the Arts Council operations budget for fiscal years 2007, 2008, 2009 from the St. Charles County Council o Partnering with the St. Charles County Library District to obtain an office and exhibit space for free o Hired the first full time executive director o Developed the organization’s first web site o Planned and oversaw the repurposing of a former dry-cleaning business into a new office and exhibit space for SCCAC Founding Chair, Board of Directors July 2005 – July 2007 St. Charles County Youth Choir, St. Peters, MO  Achievements include: o Establishing the Youth Choir as a non-profit organization o Hiring the first/current executive director o Recruited and developed the first board of directors in cooperation with the executive director o Worked with the director to develop fee structures and scholarships for disadvantaged youth o Worked with the director to develop the organization’s first fundraisers Vice President, College/University Section January 2002 – January 2004 Texas Educational Theatre Association, Austin, TX  Participated in the deliberations of the Board of Directors  Led the creation of workshops that addressed development needs of College and University Theatre Faculty  Achievements included: o Developed statewide standards for transferring credit theatre courses in the state of Texas o Established a series of training workshops during T.E.T.A.’s annual convention for College/University Faculty President August 2000 – January 2003 Texas Community College Speech and Theatre Association  Led planning for the organization  Presided as the acting official at T.C.C.S.T.A. speech contests and play festivals statewide  Represented T.C.C.S.T.A. in meetings with individual colleges’ staff and faculty throughout the state  Represented T.C.C.S.T.A. in meetings with vendors and professional theatre organizations  Achievements include: o Updating the bylaws and name change to reflect the Community College Mission o Successful planning and hosting of the 2003 Theatre Festival Chair, Scholarship Auditions January 1991 – August 1997 Texas Educational Theatre Association, Austin, TX  Coordination of the statewide scholarship auditions including 300 students and over 50 schools each year  Achievements include: o Facilitating the scholarship auditions for over 1,800 students o By recruiting college and university representatives from across the country as well as internationally, increased amount of annual scholarships given from $300,000 to over $600,000 o Developed and presented annual audition workshops for Theatre, Dance, and Music students Vice President, Board of Directors August 1993 – July 2002 Angelina Alliance for the Performing Arts  Developed the production season for the Angelina Playhouse  Achievements include: o Securing funding for operations of the theatre through small individual donations of $100 - $5,000 o Working with the executive director to obtain a unique $15,000 donation o Planning and overseeing the remodeling of a former drugstore into a Community Theatre space.
