Maryland. Currently the CEO of SAI in Gaithersburg,

Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Make-A-Wish is a charitable organization that grants the
wish of children who have been diagnosed with a terminal
or life-threatening disease. The organization began in 1980
with the wish of a single child to experience a day in the life
of a police officer, and has since grown to grant a wish
about every half-hour for a different child in need.
3. Adopt-A-Wish
The Make-A-Wish Foundation relies on a network of
volunteers and has innumerable options in place for
those who are interested to get involved in
sponsorships, walks and other fundraising efforts.
Make-A-Wish has a program that allows supporters to
personally assist a specific child, called Adopt-A-Wish.
The program encourages sponsors to donate the funds
for a whole wish, either a local one or an international
trip, known as a “destination wish.” After the wish is
fulfilled, the donor receives pictures, notes, and a
description of the child they assisted and the outcome.
