Implementation Plan: This is an audio/video book that reveals original research and findings of the author
and his team as they unlock the inner workings of an organization at the request of a newly assigned Chief

Initiative (CPI) by applying Darrel Sink’s analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation
(ADDIE-ISD) model; and, Malcolm Knowles adult learning principles as critical components in the process
of developing and implementing an organizational learning program. In this book the author elaborates on
his pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation phase planning. A critical factor in the
author’s planning process is to ensure the plan resonates with the CEO to transform his organization into one
that is “built-to-learn”. The book concludes as the author’s shifts consideration to the subsequent task of

the series (Chapter 5) opens a dialogue pertaining to the evaluation process. The author chose to focus
on determining measured success by accomplishing a uniform and balanced learning program that moves
employees towards change by "embracing a learning culture". To accomplish this, the author utilizes four
levels of evaluation to track and measure incremental successes or wins and program accomplishments.
Collectively, the evaluations are designed to measure financial, customer relations, business practices,
learning, and leadership performance. The author accomplishes this by integrating into his plan a balanced
scorecard evaluation model. This unified and balanced approach offers the author the ability to measure
and assess curriculum, component goals, learning objectives, and coursework for effectiveness based on
employee reaction, learning, behavior and results towards transforming an organization to one that is “built-
to-learn”. The book concludes as the author’s represents a summary of findings and outcomes related to

Tidal Change: Effective outcomes from organizational learning

Conclusions: This is an audio/video book that reveals original research and findings of the author and his
team as they unlock the inner workings of an organization at the request of a newly assigned Chief Executive
Officer. The book is published in a series of six chapters, each with distinct titles. The sixth in the series
(Chapter 6) opens a dialogue pertaining to the study findings, outcomes, and concluding observations. After
implementing the Change Program Initiative (CPI), the author examines whether the program answers the
initial questions posed by the CEO regarding his situation, goal, objectives, and performance requirements to
successfully position his organization for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Upon analysis of the survey data,
the author identifies significant observations gained from the study and plan implementation. Together
with critical findings and discoveries, this books reveals answers to the original questions posed by the
author to the CEO. In revealing the findings to each of the questions, key accomplishments as determined
by "proven methods of measurement" are discovered related to the company's financial, customer relations,
business practices, learning, and leadership performance. The book series concludes as the author reflects
on the effectiveness of his plan’s implementation as measured by periodic LPI 360 climate surveys, changes
in percentages of curriculum completion, and overall performance of the company. These are revealed by
the author's application of the Balanced Scorecard Method as a means of determining a "shift of mind" to

Recognition of Our Veterans

together this video with the help of many contributing professionals and artists. The video was integrated
with other instructional supplements and tools for a middle school presentation this week in Los Angeles,
CA. The kids seemed to appreciate the lesson we developed. However, this morning my team discussed
the experience and outcome of the project. We discovered we benefited from our experience as much or
more than the 200 students did! It is great when a learning experience proves to be as inspirational to the
instructor as it is to the student. My team and I would like to thank Pepperdine University's EDOL program,
and its great faculty for providing us with the knowledge and inspiration that empowered us to share what

A comprehensive six volume analysis of China and its phenomenal rise. The approach to this investigation
and publication of its diverse (multidisciplinary) environmental factors is unique. However, the study is
conducted in strict accordance with conventional western research mixed-method protocols. Upon the
completion of the study, six separate volumes will be published. Each will provide evidence, findings,
conclusions, and predictive outcomes derived from three current dynamic computer models. The generation
of each dynamic model follows DoD protocols, configuration, and scientific notation designed specifically to
benefit social, political, economic, legal, inter-cultural, and technological researchers, strategists, and policy

The Effect of Learning on Identity

This article addresses questions posed by Dr. Kathleen Plinske in Forum-6 at Pepperdine University
pertaining to Chapter 3 of James Paul Gee’s book, What Video Games Have To Teach Us About Learning
and Literacy, published by Palgrave Macmillan, 2007. Dr. Plinske indicates that in Gee's Chapter 3 he
emphasizes how all learning is about forming a new identity. Specifically, Dr. Plinske’s questions are, “Do
you think that your identity has been changed at all thus far in the EDOL program? If so, how? If not, why
do you think that is?” Specifically then in the context of Gee’s observations on learning he suggests that
there are essentially twelve basic learning principles that apply as related to interfacing with and “being
drawn” into a “committed” learning experience in the context of interactive video games that perhaps may
have an effect on ones identity.

Occupy Wallstreet: A People's Revolt

The article explores occurrences in foreign counties given a specific focus on a seminal event that occurred
when certain social-political incidents spilled-over into the U.S. in the form of grass root demonstrations.
The turning point or catalyst that elevated attention to this movement was the March on Wall Street incident
that occurred here in the United States. The good news is that in most cases these social demonstrations have
been so well organized the price for social and governmental change has largely been peaceful not involving
mass (if any) loss of life. In my view, it was only a matter of time before the pressure of global economies
creates a "blow-back" event (using a CIA term) to the United States with such force that the effect on our
united republic will significantly force disruptive change in the U.S. In short, the potential for change is
becoming more evident as adjustment in the current U.S. social-political sea-state is currently underway.
I offer the article below in support of others researching and/or studying associated social-political or
organizational behavioral theory as they continue to develop their understanding of Leadership Dilemmas In
Modern Times. The information is presented for investigation and research consideration.
How is That Wiki Working For You?

regarding a reflective on the subject of Wikis. Specifically Dr. Plinske directed the research and reflection

to e-learning, and 3) Cite concerns or reservations regarding the use of Wikis as an e-learning tool. The
information provided offers a personal insight into this media structure, process, and form of cultural
expression.
What's Up With Google Docs?

This research explores Google Docs to determine its functionality and possible applications. In the process,
a number of web-based platforms were discovered that were similar to the subject of the study. With this
realization, the research was expanded to additionally focus on just what sets Google Docs apart from all
the other cloud based platforms it competes with. Upon completion of the review, the following functions
were found to be key to the basis of its uniqueness: 1) The application is within the semiotic domain of free
web-base access and use; 2) There is no requirement to upload any application software; 3) All supported
applications can be shared in real-time by collaborative work groups; 4) The web-site provides central
storage for collaborative work; 5) The software concept and design eliminates the hassle (or confusion) of
consolidating multiple input documents; 6) It provides a real-time interactive chat capability; 7) It tracks
real-time input from the collaborative by individual contributor; 8) Users can easily upload or import
files from other desktop applications; and, 9) Collaborated file access is controlled and secure on the web
platform. The collaboration function is powerful, fast and extremely responsive. Online collaboration efforts
or activities allow individual post tracking that is immediately viewable.

Skype & the Amplification of Input Principle

The article explores Skype as available during 2012 within the commercial consumer web-based
communications media domain. The telecommunication program since being founded in 2003 has
experienced a high level of success in offering a unique internet multifunctional (video-conferencing)
communication software and operating platform. (Limited) Since 1995 the use of Skype has expanded to
that of approximately 27,000,000 viewers/users at any one time. Largely due to this success Skype became
a subsidiary of Microsoft. The project was directed by Dr. Kathleen Plinske and was designed to explore
the use and capability of this media. Skype as a learning tool can improve efficiency and the effectiveness
of deliverables through improved communications between research cohorts. A number of observations and
insights are shared for the benefit of the student academic community.

Article focuses on past and present U.S. perceptions of China in the context of social and political
economic interests. Perhaps the data presented raises interest through the lens of the U.S. worldview as to
how to continue to embrace and develop this continuing relationship with the PRC. President Nixon may
have had it right when he essentially initiated the era of ping-pong diplomacy beginning with his Beijing
table-tennis delegation in 1972. During my tenure in Afghanistan, it became very clear the future of the
U.S. economy is tied to the Chinese (PRC) in many more ways than is commonly appreciated by main
street Americans. Viewing the attached data will assist in clarifying an opinion and understanding of the
relationship between these two super-powers in the future.

In the course of economic study one occasionally crosses works of scholars that represent "show-stoppers"
as we called them in the military. In the context of political economics, the publication of Dr. Friedman's
work by the Hoover Institute is simply too well stated to overlook. The following is an extract from his
work within the section entitled executive summary: "The major social problems of the United States -
deteriorating education, lawlessness and crime, homelessness, the collapse of family values, the crisis in
medical care - have been produced by well intended actions of government. That is easy to document"
Friedman argues. "The difficult task is understanding why government is the problem". This article is the
result of directed research associated with doctorate studies at Pepperdine University.
Countdown to Meltdown...The Emergence of Malthusian Doctrine in the Context of Global Economics

The article considers leadership from the perspective of leader traits and skills, self-interests, trust,
communications, as possible influences affecting change and innovation in the workplace. The research
engages in conducting a qualitative survey of the nature of people and related organizational behavior
in governmental and nongovernmental organizations. Countdown to Meltdown, is consistent with and
provides illumination on the crisis confronting leadership today. In 1979 the People’s Republic of China
(PRC) identified trends that represented alarms to the continuation and survival of their government. They
have attempted to address the problem by deploying a number of initiatives aimed at reversing these trends.
Their initiatives address mechanical (social engineering) and technological (integrated digital management
system controls and applications) as approaches to the problem of population control, maintenance of their
global power, resource availability, energy independency, and the sustainment of economic growth. This
research explores one of a number of approaches to addressing the coming crisis is for world leaders to
boldly face the problem head-on by developing an equable global economic plan proportional to those
constructs established in Adam Smiths’ economic theory and publication pertaining to the Wealth of
Nations.

Nash Equilibrium Integration with Turoff's Delphi Policy Method for Increased Outcome Significance

This paper explores the integrated application of Nash equilibrium theory as a mixed strategy set for finite
player groups assuming two competing global ideologies, with finite high-value objectives, as pure strategies
to achieve dominance. Modeling includes the assumption that there are three competing global player
groups of which two have significant payoff values. The third group is not considered significant due to
its limited potential influence and ability to drive global events. Therefore, any related potential outcome
derived from the third player group is not relevant. The model assumes inter-dependency between player
group one and two. The purpose of the investigation is to determine player group one's potential or move
probabilities as related to its future strategy-sets, internal and external policies, and direction over a measured
period of time and performance.

ABSTRACT - The research conducts an analysis of China’s political-economic, legal, and technology
environments in the context leadership and policy. The research design is a bound longitudinal study with

initial immersion 21 May to 31 May 2012. The study involves four immersions resulting in SPELIT and
SWOT assessments that are subject to Delphi method reviews. Research is conducted using a mixed-
method approach that touches on an ethnological phenomenon within China. Data is collected using face-
to-face open-ended narrative surveys or interviews conducted during cultural immersions. Pepperdine
University is providing global contacts in each area of interest. Delphi subject matter experts (SMEs) are
academic scholars, government officials, industry leaders, and common Chinese “worker class”.
Observations are taken from a total of 6 regions. They include: 1.) Beijing; 2.) Xian; 3.) Guilin, 4.) The Li
River Valley, 5.) Shanghai, and 6.) U.S. Embassy, Beijing. A total of (n = 12) face-to-face surveys are
collected excluding a panel (n = 24) of Delphi participants. Delphi participants are selected from non-
Western cultures. The research compiles a survey populations (N = 4) for a total population (n = 144).
Key discoveries are framed using the SPELIT Power Matrix Model and SWOT (PEST) pertaining to
China's political, economic, legal, and technology. Emerging changes in these areas are critical to China's
goals and financial expansion. China's leadership and policy successes in navigating the phenomena will
determine its long-term goal of becoming the largest economic power on the globe. Once achieved, China
will assume responsibility as the new global leader. This hypothesis is tested by applying Wheatley’s
Complexity and Trompenaars Change across Cultures Theories as methods of analysis, and evaluated
using Quinn’s Competing Values Model to formulate a conclusion.
Leading Change: Transforming a construction services company to a learning organization

ABSTRACT - This paper introduces a plan to increase Master Builders Incorporated (MBI) knowledge,
customer base, and sales by integrating an adult learning program where success will be measured by
increasing the number of employees that achieve Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications.
This knowledge is considered critical when avoiding the common trap of attempting to do too many
projects with limited resources, training, and ill-informed leadership (Verzuh, 2012) which in-turn prevents
achieving a sustainable market advantage.
The Small Business Administration classifies MBI (located in Los Angeles, California) as a small
business, construction services company. Since 2008, MBI has experienced performance problems that
have resulted in flattened sales due to its leadership style and the absence of a learning culture as
discovered in recent LPI 360 surveys and environmental assessments. This plan responds to MBI’s Chief
Executive Officer’s (CEO) need by implementing leadership and development programs necessary to drive
culture change within MBI as it positions itself for an initial public offering (IPO) viewed as critical to its
survival within the next two years. My role in the effort is to act as the Change Management Officer
(CMO) responsible for leading the plan’s development and implementation.
The plan is framed by a SPELIT and SWOT needs assessment and shaped by applying Kotter’s
Eight-Stage Change Model. The learning program utilizes Darryl Sink’s ADDIE and ISD models to analyze,
design, develop, implement, and evaluate results. To ensure effectiveness, Knowles theory of andragogy,
Senge’s learning principles, and Kirkpatrick’s four levels of evaluation are utilized as grounded theories to
create and measure reaction, learning, behavior change and results. The plan uses a phased-gate approach to

directed by advisors.

achieved what some analysts in Congress would argue is a globally dominant blue water navy. This aside,
the U.S. Congress has confirmed that China has taken over global lead in cyber-space counter-intelligence
technologies while at the same time the U.S. Defense Department has claimed recent victories in this area,
e.g. Intellectual Property Rights protection (yet undisclosed or validated by the U.S. Congress). Perhaps
the U.S. should consider a congressional investigation into alternative approaches and strategies in
securing U.S. national interests in light of the current defense plan.

World and for the last 30 years China’s economy has been growing at an astonishing rate. While Britain
has been in the grip of the worst recession in a generation, China’s economic miracle has wowed the
World. It is a story of spending and investment on a scale never seen before in human history…30 new
airports, 26,000 miles of motorways and a new skyscraper every five days have been built in China in the
last five years. But, in a situation eerily reminiscent of what has happened in the West, the vast majority of
it has been built on credit. (Or has it? See China’s national monetary ideology and “open” financial
system.)
This has now left the Chinese economy with huge debts and questions over whether much of the
money can ever be paid back. (China’s GDP expansion is approximately four times that of the U.S.)
Interviewing key players including the former American treasury secretary Henry Paulson, Lord Adair
Turner, former chairman of the FSA, and Charlene Chu, a leading Chinese banking analyst, Robert Peston
reveals how China’s extraordinary spending has left the country with levels of debt that many believe can
only end in an economic crash with untold consequences for all those in the West (Documentary Films,
2014). Consider reviewing the level of China’s National Treasury Bonds issued and sold to foreign
countries by comparison to that of Western Countries. The Chinese are extremely sensitive to social unrest
related to unemployment. These concerns appear to be much greater than those of the West and its people.

into the vast differences between the monetary system of the West vs. that of China's. What you will

Published May 15, 2012. Grant, Victory, (2012) Public Banking in America, a 12-year old one reveals
one of the best kept secrets in the World. China’s Economic Monetary System: A 12-yr. olds view of the
West and the rest This 12 year old does an excellent job of explaining the principles of the “closed”
Anglo-American monetary and financial system. It took me over four years of study to analyze and
appreciate the differences between the Western European (Anglo-American) system and that of China.
The presentation by this 12 year old before the Public Banking Institute (focused on such systems from
the viewpoint of national public interest) provides an excellent primer of the social-economic problems
with the closed system.
Consider China has the only remaining economically “open” system in the international
community. Some would argue this ”open” system represents a possible threat to Western power,
authority, and dominance. Since Adam Smith’s initial treatise on the “Wealth of Nations” published in
1776 (date easy to remember). Smith’s notions and principles of controlling societies through the
accumulation of wealth have served to fundamentally shape Western economics. Consider placing these

Contribute to association members and non-affiliated service follows by sharing combat connected
experiences in order to successfully undertake a social and economic transition from their previous service
connected roles to civilian careers. Assist in resetting service members worldviews and mindset to better
cope and adapt. I assist service members returning from the Middle East Theater that are in search of
purpose and meaning. I participate in (informal) veteran groups and/or with individuals (in private/
confidential sessions) so as to share experiences. These sessions are focus on identifying and working
through adjustments necessary to set the stage for appreciation of service and understanding the
importance of defining a new direction in life. My objective is to offer meaningful support and guidance
to service fellows so they can locate opportunities for both their family members and themselves in the
areas of health, education, and social adjustment that are making a difference to others returning from
combat theaters.

The Office of Personnel Management is authorized by section 1302 of Chapter 13 (Special Authority) and sections 3301 and 3304 of Chapter 33
(Examination, Certification, and Appointment) of Title 5 of the U.S. Code to collect the information on this form.
Executive Order 9397 (Numbering System for Federal Accounts Relating to Individual Persons) authorizes the collection of your Social Security

The book is published in a series of six chapters, each with distinct titles. The fifth in the series (Chapter 5) opens a dialogue pertaining to the evaluation process. The author chose to focus on determining measured success by accomplishing a uniform and balanced learning program that moves employees towards change by "embracing a learning culture". To accomplish this, the author utilizes four levels of evaluation to track and measure incremental successes or wins and program accomplishments. Collectively, the evaluations are designed to measure financial, customer relations, business practices, learning, and leadership performance. The author accomplishes this by integrating into his plan a balanced scorecard evaluation model. This unified and balanced approach offers the author the ability to measure and assess curriculum, component goals, learning objectives, and coursework for effectiveness based on employee reaction, learning, behavior and results towards transforming an organization to one that is “built- to-learn”. The book is published in a series of six chapters, each with distinct titles. The sixth in the series (Chapter 6) opens a dialogue pertaining to the study findings, outcomes, and concluding observations. After implementing the Change Program Initiative (CPI), the author examines whether the program answers the initial questions posed by the CEO regarding his situation, goal, objectives, and performance requirements to successfully position his organization for an Initial Public Offering (IPO). Upon analysis of the survey data, the author identifies significant observations gained from the study and plan implementation. Together with critical findings and discoveries, this books reveals answers to the original questions posed by the author to the CEO. In revealing the findings to each of the questions, key accomplishments as determined by "proven methods of measurement" are discovered related to the company's financial, customer relations, business practices, learning, and leadership performance. The video was integrated with other instructional supplements and tools for a middle school presentation this week in Los Angeles, CA. The kids seemed to appreciate the lesson we developed. Huff This article addresses questions posed by Dr. Kathleen Plinske in Forum-6 at Pepperdine University pertaining to Chapter 3 of James Paul Gee’s book, What Video Games Have To Teach Us About Learning and Literacy, published by Palgrave Macmillan, 2007. Dr. Plinske indicates that in Gee's Chapter 3 he emphasizes how all learning is about forming a new identity. Specifically, Dr. Plinske’s questions are, “Do you think that your identity has been changed at all thus far in the EDOL program? If so, how? If not, why do you think that is?” Specifically then in the context of Gee’s observations on learning he suggests that there are essentially twelve basic learning principles that apply as related to interfacing with and “being drawn” into a “committed” learning experience in the context of interactive video games that perhaps may have an effect on ones identity.   • 6. Occupy Wallstreet: A People's Revolt GPS-AG, Inc.; Pepperdine University May 2012 Authors: Patrick D. Huff The article explores occurrences in foreign counties given a specific focus on a seminal event that occurred when certain social-political incidents spilled-over into the U.S. in the form of grass root demonstrations. The turning point or catalyst that elevated attention to this movement was the March on Wall Street incident that occurred here in the United States. The good news is that in most cases these social demonstrations have been so well organized the price for social and governmental change has largely been peaceful not involving mass (if any) loss of life. In my view, it was only a matter of time before the pressure of global economies creates a "blow-back" event (using a CIA term) to the United States with such force that the effect on our united republic will significantly force disruptive change in the U.S. In short, the potential for change is becoming more evident as adjustment in the current U.S. social-political sea-state is currently underway. The information is presented for investigation and research consideration. How is That Wiki Working For You? GPS-AG, Inc.; Pepperdine University May 2012 Authors: Patrick D. Huff This paper addresses a series of questions posed by Dr. Kathleen Plinske in Forum-7 at Pepperdine University regarding a reflective on the subject of Wikis. Specifically Dr. Plinske directed the research and reflection cover the following assessments: 1) Wikis as a learning tool, 2) Wikis as an application or tool related to e-learning, and 3) Cite concerns or reservations regarding the use of Wikis as an e-learning tool. The information provided offers a personal insight into this media structure, process, and form of cultural expression. What's Up With Google Docs? GPS-AG, Inc.; Pepperdine University September 2012 Authors: Patrick D. Huff This research explores Google Docs to determine its functionality and possible applications. In the process, a number of web-based platforms were discovered that were similar to the subject of the study. With this realization, the research was expanded to additionally focus on just what sets Google Docs apart from all the other cloud based platforms it competes with. Upon completion of the review, the following functions were found to be key to the basis of its uniqueness: 1) The application is within the semiotic domain of free web-base access and use; 2) There is no requirement to upload any application software; 3) All supported applications can be shared in real-time by collaborative work groups; 4) The web-site provides central storage for collaborative work; 5) The software concept and design eliminates the hassle (or confusion) of consolidating multiple input documents; 6) It provides a real-time interactive chat capability; 7) It tracks real-time input from the collaborative by individual contributor; 8) Users can easily upload or import files from other desktop applications; and, 9) Collaborated file access is controlled and secure on the web platform. The collaboration function is powerful, fast and extremely responsive. Online collaboration efforts or activities allow individual post tracking that is immediately viewable. Page6

Huff The article explores Skype as available during 2012 within the commercial consumer web-based communications media domain. The telecommunication program since being founded in 2003 has experienced a high level of success in offering a unique internet multifunctional (video-conferencing) communication software and operating platform. (Limited) Since 1995 the use of Skype has expanded to that of approximately 27,000,000 viewers/users at any one time. Largely due to this success Skype became a subsidiary of Microsoft. The project was directed by Dr. Kathleen Plinske and was designed to explore the use and capability of this media. Skype as a learning tool can improve efficiency and the effectiveness of deliverables through improved communications between research cohorts. This knowledge is considered critical when avoiding the common trap of attempting to do too many projects with limited resources, training, and ill-informed leadership (Verzuh, 2012) which in-turn prevents achieving a sustainable market advantage. The Small Business Administration classifies MBI (located in Los Angeles, California) as a small business, construction services company. Since 2008, MBI has experienced performance problems that have resulted in flattened sales due to its leadership style and the absence of a learning culture as discovered in recent LPI 360 surveys and environmental assessments.
