Significant Accomplishments
Infrastructure Projects: Led a variety of complex Infrastructure implementation projects at
CDW. These projects range from full-scale multi-site environment builds to data center
hardware refreshes and migrations, including:
Replacement of shared Managed Services TSM back-up solution with an EMC
Avamar/Data Domain back-up solution located in four data centers, with cross data
center replication. Includes the migration of existing TSM customers to the new
solution.
Replacement of IBM ESX Servers with Cisco UCS C-Series ESXi servers
Implementation of a shared Virtual Environment with Cisco ESXi B-Series chassis and
blade servers
Replaced approximately 80 Cisco 2950x distribution switches in a shared environment
with upgraded 3560x switches
Application development project to replace a custom Syslog alert monitoring system
(hardware and software) with Nimsoft alerting, including the development of the
probes needed by individual technologies
Replacement of Core Routers in our data centers
Product Development Projects: Projects using Product development methodology - Bid
Assurance, CER Process, Test lab build out, Training and post project analysis.
Proof of Concept evaluation of third party vendor’s solutions to identify and measure
network traffic
Proof of concept evaluation of third party vendor’s Syslog alerting solutions
Replacement of customer voice technology SOW with an updated Unified
Communications SOW
