- Thank you for the opportunity to share with you a very enlightening and enriching journey I have taken over the past 11 months. I would like to begin to share with you this journey, and discuss how technology has begun to transform my conception of learning , my role as a classroom teacher , and the role of the student in academics . I would like to begin by discussing how all of this came to be for me personally. Several years ago, I had the pleasure of reading T. Friedman’s book, the World is Flat. Internalizing much of what I read at the time, I began to realize that much of what I was doing in my classroom, what not appropriately preparing students for their futures. Specifically, I was not leveraging the technology out their to enhance the learning that went on in my class.
