Teaching Approach: Based on Communicative Approach and Practice-
Presentation-Production (PPP) method.
Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how?
Listening and speaking skills will be integrated through the use of
songs, a video and the interaction between students and with the
teacher.
Materials and resources: class CD, PC, board, puppet, pictures, TV.
· Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: in this lesson, children will
listen to the Hello, and Goodbye song from my computer, loudspeakers
will be used. Also, students will be exposed to English language through
the use of two videos. The purpose in the first one of will be to revise
face and body parts, and in the second video they will learn numbers.

Seating arrangement: students will be sitting at their little tables in
circles, in groups of six. In one group there will be seven learners. They
will stand up and move around the classroom to sing, dance and play a
game.
· Assessment: what will be assessed and how. I will check that students
understand and identify the new vocabulary by using pictures and a
song, and by asking What´s this/ What are these , what number is it?
and Yes/No questions.
PROCEDURE
ROUTINE ( 5 min)
Purpose: to start thelesson, get students into themood for work,
establish rapport.
I will enter the class and with a warm smile greet the kids as usual: “Hello
students”. They will answer “hello Teacher”. As I always do, I will show them
immediately the class puppet and with another voice I will say” Hello kids”,
so they will answer “hello Cookie!”
Then, I will ask them “Are you ready to sing”? They will answer “yes”!
We will sing, act and dance together the Hello song.

4. Then, I will ask them “how are you today? Are you happy or sad? (miming a
happy and sad face)

Purpose: to revise parts of body.
I will start the class asking students “do you remember body parts’? Let´s
revise them with me.. head, eyes..
I will continuewith the sameprocedurewith all theparts.They will mention
while they touch each part.
Then, I will ask them “Do you remember the song” Shake..(miming). They
will say Yes!! So let´s sing it!. I will add to this song the new parts of the
body: HANDS and FEET. They will stand up and movearound the classroom
singing and dancing.

Transition: Wow, very funny kids…nOw, Look at the monster I will show

PRESENTATION (5 min)
Purpose: to expose students to authentic use of language and learn new
vocabulary: numbers.
I will show them a monster. They will be surprised because this monster is so
strange. It has got many parts in his body. (this monster is more then 1 metre
high- they will all see it clearly)
Look kids, this is a monster. Look at his head, one or two heads? (pointing)
How many legs? (pointing to them but not counting)
7. I will continue with the same procedure and I will say So, Ok, let´s learn to
count so you can count the monster´s parts
I will show them flashcards with numbers. They will repeat the number and
count the birds.
8. Transition: Yes, very good children! Let´s count the monster´s body parts now
DEVELOPMENT (10 min)
Purpose: to help children identify, name and practice new vocabulary
about numbers while revising body parts.
After learning numbers, I will give each group a flashcard. They will try to
number and name the part of the body. For example: five hands. I will revise
colours too.
After that, I will mix the pictures and I will call a card and the group that has
it should show it. Then, I will stick all of them on the board and I will elicit
number and body part again.
9. After that, I will show them the monster they met at the beginning of the
lesson and they will name each part and count.
For example, Joaqui ..what´s this?
J:Head!
T:Great! And how many? One, two? Three?
J:Two!
T:Well job!
10. I will continue calling different students.

CLOSURE (5 min)
Purpose: to revise vocabulary by watching a video and singing.
I will ask the children to look at the TV to watch the video. They look at it
and then I will play it again and they will try to sing.
