 Teaching Approach: Based on Communicative Approach and Practice-Presentation-
Production (PPP) method.

 Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how?
Listening and speaking skills will be integrated through the use of songs, a video and the
interaction between students and with the teacher.

 Materials and resources: class CD, PC, board, puppet, pictures, TV.
 Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: in this lesson, children will listen to the Hello,
and Goodbye song from my computer, loudspeakers will be used. Also, students will be
exposed to English language through the use of two videos. The purpose of the first one
will be to revise face parts and the second video will be to present and introduce the new
topic.

 Seating arrangement: students will be sitting at their little tables in circles, in groups of
six. In one group there will be seven learners. They will stand up and move around the
classroom to sing and dance songs.

· Assessment: what will be assessed and how. I will check that students understand and
identify the new vocabulary by using pictures and a video, and by asking What´s this/
What are these and Yes/No questions.
PROCEDURE
ROUTINE ( 5 min)
Purpose: to start thelesson, get students into themood for work, establish rapport.
I will enter the class and with a warm smile greet the kids as usual: “Hello students”. They will
answer “hello Teacher”. As I always do, I will show them immediately the class puppet and with
another voice I will say” Hello kids”, so they will answer “hello Cookie!”
I will leave Cookie on the desk.
Then, I will ask them “Are you ready to sing”? They will answer “yes”!
We will sing, act and dance together the Hello song.

I will leave him on the desk so we can sing our feeling song.
Then, I will ask them “how are you today? Are you happy or sad? (miming a happy and sad face)
They will probably answer all together and shouting “happy!!”
So, let´s sing the song!

WARM – UP (5 min)
Purpose: to revise school objects and parts of the face.
When I look at Cookie´shat I will makean expression of surpriseaswonderingwhatI can find
there.
I will take a face but its parts are schoolobjects! I will feel completely surprised and I willsay
“What´s this” or “What are these”? Eliciting the school objects names. Then, I will say “Are
these eyes?” Is it a Mouth? Eliciting the names of face parts.
After that, I will say is he happy or sad?. They will say “Sad”. So, I will say “yes, that´s right!
Because these parts aren´t hers”!
I will invite some students to come and put the correct parts.
They will repeat the parts again.
I will ask them if they remember the face parts song. Let´slisten to it again children, sing
and dance with me!

Body parts! I will justtake them out of the hat showing children the pieces.

PRESENTATION (5 min)
Purpose: to expose students to authentic use of language and learn new vocabulary
about parts of the body.
I will ask different students to help me and take the parts.
I will stick them on the board without following any specific order while mentioning them.I
will ask them “What is it”? They will probably answer “a monster”
Transition: Ok kids, help me with these monstersnow.
DEVELOPMENT (10 min)
Purpose: to help children identify, name and practice new vocabulary about parts of the
body
I will call different students to help me to put the parts of the body in the correctplace. They
repeat while sticking them.
They love this kind of activity, they will enjoy it..
Transition: Awesome job kids! Now, look at the TV (pointing) and watch a video.
CLOSURE (5 min)
Purpose: to revise vocabulary singing a song.
I will invite students to watch a video and then watch to it again, stand up, sing and dance
with me.

Body Parts: head, arms, legs,body. Head /h/   Teaching Approach: Based on Communicative Approach and Practice-Presentation- Production (PPP) method.   Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how? Listening and speaking skills will be integrated through the use of songs, a video and the interaction between students and with the teacher.   Materials and resources: class CD, PC, board, puppet, pictures, TV.  Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: in this lesson, children will listen to the Hello, and Goodbye song from my computer, loudspeakers will be used. Also, students will be exposed to English language through the use of two videos. I will check that students understand and identify the new vocabulary by using pictures and a video, and by asking What´s this/ What are these and Yes/No questions.
  • 3. PROCEDURE ROUTINE ( 5 min) Purpose: to start thelesson, get students into themood for work, establish rapport. I will enter the class and with a warm smile greet the kids as usual: “Hello students”. They will answer “hello Teacher”. As I always do, I will show them immediately the class puppet and with another voice I will say” Hello kids”, so they will answer “hello Cookie!” I will leave Cookie on the desk. Then, I will ask them “Are you ready to sing”? They will answer “yes”! We will sing, act and dance together the Hello song. Hello, hello boys and girls, Hello, hello boys and girls, Hello, hello boys and girls , Hello , hello, Hello! It´s English time! Stand up, stretch and skip with me, Skip, skip, skip to the tree. Skip, skip, skip to the tree. Skip, skip, skip to the tree. Skip to the tree and sing with me! I will leave him on the desk so we can sing our feeling song. Then, I will ask them “how are you today? Are you happy or sad? (miming a happy and sad face) They will probably answer all together and shouting “happy!!” So, let´s sing the song! When I look at Cookie´shat I will makean expression of surpriseaswonderingwhatI can find there. I will take a face but its parts are schoolobjects! I will feel completely surprised and I willsay “What´s this” or “What are these”? Eliciting the school objects names. Then, I will say “Are these eyes?” Is it a Mouth? Eliciting the names of face parts.
  • 5. After that, I will say is he happy or sad?. They will say “Sad”. So, I will say “yes, that´s right! Because these parts aren´t hers”! I will invite some students to come and put the correct parts. They will repeat the parts again. I will ask them if they remember the face parts song. I will stick them on the board without following any specific order while mentioning them.I will ask them “What is it”? They will probably answer “a monster”

DEVELOPMENT (10 min) Purpose: to help children identify, name and practice new vocabulary about parts of the body I will call different students to help me to put the parts of the body in the correctplace. They repeat while sticking them. They love this kind of activity, they will enjoy it.. Transition: Awesome job kids! Now, look at the TV (pointing) and watch a video.
