As of January 26, 2012, the Texas Education Agency no longer accepts requests for Certificates and/or
Transcripts or verification requests via mail, fax, e-mail or walk-in.
All record verifications and Certificate/Transcript Requests must be made using the automated system on the
GED Info Page, located at www.texged.com. This process allows one to search for records on-line, verify
their authenticity, and purchase and print the certificate on one's own printer. TEA will no longer mail original
or duplicate certificates/transcripts through the US Postal Service.
