Social Media is Exploding…..

Social Media is Popular
From December 2007 to December 2008, social networks accounted for nearly 10% of all
Internet time. “Member Communities” category of sites surpassed the email category in
Internet popularity, measured by time on site. – Neilson Online
“Social Media is the New Inbox” – Erik Qualman, author of Socialnomics
“Social networking has become a fundamental part of the global online experience,”
commented John Burbank, CEO of Nielsen Online. “While two-thirds of the global online
population already accesses member community sites, their vigorous adoption and the
migration of time show no signs of slowing.”

Social Media is Mobile
“As iPhones and other "true Web" capable mobile devices become a bigger part of how we
consume and interact with the Web, so too will they become a greater part of how we
consume and interact with social media specifically.” - Luis Gray
“The dream of broadband mobile environment is within our finger tips. I know what an
explosive catalyst this technology will be for our world.” - NowIsGone.com

In a mobile world – context is everything. Social Networks are providing that context.

Social Media is Transformational
“As the Internet did in the late 90s, Social Media is about to change the world in ways we
can anticipate but not predict with clarity. We are entering a period of significant change
when creativity, new technologies, and investment will cause a burst of innovative tools and
 concepts” - SocialMediaToday.com
