• Batch type of production
- Continuous demand but it may vary lot production of
similar item. eg. Medicines

- Demand pattern known, standard product, large batches.
Dedicate assembly line. eg. TV
• Process/Flow production
- Very high demand, sequential process. eg. Petro/ Diesel,
commodity.
