2.  Curriculum model is the first step in curriculum
development.
 A curriculum model determines
The type of curriculum used, it encompasses
Educational Philosphy , Approach to Teaching and
methods.
 There are five components of curriculum model
Focus, Approach, content, process and structure.
 The curriculum models are
Administrative line staff model
Grass root model
Demonstration model
Tyler model

3. The model was proposed by Hilda Taba in her book
‘Curriculum development theory and practice’in
1962.

4.  According to her
“Curriculum should be developed by the
teachers who teach the curriculum which led to
development of model called
“Grass root model of curriculum”.
 It evolves a Decentralised Educational system.
 Grass root model is also called Hilda Taba model
