eValuate is Edisonlearning’s online formative assessment system that combines monthly benchmark
assessments aligned to individual state standards with rich and easy-to-use reporting and analysis tools.
Superior professional development and on-site support in analyzing data effectively make eValuate an
invaluable tool to driving instruction that increases student achievement.
The Expertise of Edisonlearning
With eValuate, you get the expertise of EdisonLearning’s
over 15 years of experience in creating formative
assessments, with 10 years as a true innovator in
administering online assessments. Millions of assessments
have been taken, scored and analyzed through eValuate.
Students, teachers and principals/administrators all
benefit from eValuate.
Powerful Reporting Options
Monthly benchmark assessments in math and reading
are easily administered online with automatic scoring.
Assessments are not only aligned to state standards,
but also reflect the focus of each state’s high stakes test.
Various reports are accessible instantaneously through
eValuate.
• Reports are available at the school, grade,
class, section or student levels, with
breakdowns by subject, strand, skill
and question.
• Monthly and longitudinal report
views are available.
• Reporting options allow for
groupings by gender, ethnicity and
other socio-economic factors, such
Free and Reduced Lunch students.
• Custom reports can also be created
by district or school specific groups,
such as afterschool programs,
reading groups, etc.
Outstanding Professional Development
Assessments and reporting tools are just part of the
power of eValuate. Professional development and support
accompany eValuate, including:
• Online videos, available on-demand, for on-going
support in using eValuate effectively
• On-site EdisonLearning teams that help to ensure a
successful implementation
• Job-embedded learning that occurs as educators
engage in daily analysis of eValuate data
• EdisonLearning’s research and assessment teams
available to provide support in understanding the
data and making it actionable
“eValuate has been invaluable to us for tracking achievement toward end-of-year state tests. When we talk
to teachers about setting monthly goals, eValuate provides a great tool to help monitor student progress and
drive effective instruction that will help teachers meet those goals.”

Teacher View
Teachers get a quick, reliable view on how their class is
progressing toward mastery of state standards. A wide variety
of reports allow teachers to know how their students are
performing at a strand/skill level and understand how they
are progressing over time.
After each assessment, students can easily track their monthly
progress, look at individual questions to determine correct
answers and review questions to see where they need extra
help, using this information to set learning goal for themselves.
Teachers can look at how individual students are performing
each month by question, then get a summarized class look.
They can perform distractor analysis to understand what
concepts are clear to students and what areas might require
further instruction.
Principal & Administrator View
Principals and Administrators use the data to know how schools
are meeting standards. They can easily see a longitudinal view
of benchmark results by grade and by class, looking at both
participation and improvement rates, using information to
understand where resources can be most effectively used.

Drilling down further into the data by question, then summarized
by strand and skill, principals and administrators can understand
not only what grades and classes need interventions, but
also the areas of focus for interventions to increase student
achievement.

“With EdisonLearning eValuate (Benchmarks) I am able
to speak confidently about each student’s strengths
and weaknesses to parents. This, in turn, allows the
parents to fully engage in their child’s learning as well as
celebrate their child’s success.”
- Susanie Ann Egan, 4th grade teacher
Park-Edison Elementary School
Clark County School District, NY
“One of the reasons 19 Reading we Comprehension stand out from Directions/Instructions other schools 21/23 91%

these tools we wouldn’t be able to perform at the level we are performing right now.”

The benefits of eValuate
With evaluate, educators can:
• Receive quick and reliable feedback on how every student is progressing toward
mastery of standards
• Determine which strands and skills are challenging to students, so that
adjustments can be made to instruction
• Identify individual students’ strengths and weaknesses so that personalized
learning plans and appropriate interventions can take place
• Gain an understanding of how students will perform on end-of-year state tests
• Create custom reports by socio-economic demographics to maximize help in
closing achievement gaps
eValuate is flexible and highly effective in increasing student achievement,
saving time and money by focusing instruction and resources in the right places.
“Nobody has anything close to a system where students are assessed monthly, feedback is within the touch of a button and
it is comparable from month to month. Without eValuate, we’d be shooting in the dark toward end-of-year standards.”
