3. About Suraj Sharma
Suraj Sharma was born in New Delhi, India to a software engineer father and
an economist mother. He did schooling at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, where he was
described as a popular student. With no prior acting experiences, he auditioned
along with his younger brother, Sriharsh Sharma. He was one of the 3,000 actors to
audition for the role of Piscine Molitor Patel (Pi). Sharma went through several
rounds of auditions before winning the part.[ Director Ang Lee has stated that he
selected Sharma primarily based on his expressive eyes and innocent appearance.
According to him, Sharma had not only the emotion, but also the "look" of Pi. His
"medium complexion" and "average build" were deemed perfect for the role.
4. About Irrfan Khan
Irrfan Ali Khan (born 7 January 1967),
credited as Irrfan Khan or even simply Irrfan,
is an Indian filmactor known for his works
predominantly in Bollywood. He is also
known for his works in British Indian

film. He was credited as Irrfan Khan in the

Tabassum Hashmi (born 4 November
1971, in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh),
better known as Tabu, is an Indian film
actress. She has mainly acted
in Hindi films, though she has also
starred in
numerous Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam,Mar
athi and Bengali language films, as well
as Hollywood films. She has won
the National Film Award for Best
Actresstwice, and she holds the record
for the most wins of Filmfare's Critics
Award for Best Female Performer, with
four. Regarded as one of the most
talented Indian female actors of her
generation, Tabu is known to be selective
about her film roles and has once said, "I
do films which move me and most of all,
the unit and the director should appeal
to me."
