2. Act 1 Scene 3
The play opens under thunder and lightening. Three witches show a
brief appearance and say “ Fair is foul and foul is fair”. They plan to talk
to Macbeth and tell something really important.
3. Act 1 Scene 3
The king of Scotland, Duncan receive a news that
Macbeth and Banquo win the battle with Irish. People
admire Macbeth and Duncan vey much because they
are very skillful and brave in the battle.
4. Act 1 Scene 3
The witches meet Macbeth and tell him that he will be the Thane of Glmmis, the thane of
Cawdor, and a king of Scotland: “First Witch
All hail, Macbeth! hail to thee, thane of Glamis! Second Witch
All hail, Macbeth, hail to thee, thane of Cawdor! Third Witch
All hail, Macbeth, thou shalt be king hereafter! ” . Also witches tell Banquo that his son will
be a king next Macbeth:“ Lesser than Macbeth, and greater.” “Not so happy, yet much
happier.”
5. Act 1 Scene 4
Macbeth is rewarded as the Thane of Cawdor since he is the Thane of
Glamis . The three witches „s sayings seem to come true. This makes
Macbeth start to believe three witches. He wrote a letter to his
wife, lady Macbeth about witches‟ sayings. However , Lady Macbeth
tries to persuade him to fight for his throne by killing Duncan.
6. Act 2 Scene 1
At midnight, Banquo and his son , Fleance have a walk in
the garden outside Duncan‟s room. This is because Banquo
is afraid that he will believe witches‟ prophecies . Also he
still dreams about that. Additionally , He and Macbeth
decide to talk about witches‟ sayings later after talking to
Macbeth.
7. Act 2 Scene 2
After talking to Banquo, Macbeth suddenly see a dagger before him.
There is blood on the blade . Then he realize that he image a fake
dagger. He meets his wife, Lady Macbeth. At this time, Lady Macbeth
makes two gatekeepers very drunk to sleep outside the Duncan‟s room.
This helps Macbeth get into Duncan‟s room and kill him.
8. Act 2 scene 3
After that, Macbeth tells Lady Macbeth that he is done killing the
King, Duncan. However , he cannot even speak “ Amen” because he is
very guilty of killing Duncan. Lady Macbeth tries to comfort him
because Macbeth is afraid. But she realizes Macbeth forgets to put the
daggers that is used to kill Duncan beside the drunk gatekeepers. So
Lady Macbeth does this thing instead of Macbeth.
9. Act 2 Scene 4
Macbeth think his that his hands are full of blood and not
clean any more. “Will all great Neptune's ocean wash
this blood Clean from my hand? ”What he does that he
tries to sleep. Then someone will find out Duncan‟s death.
This person is the Thane of Fife, Macduff.
10. Act 3 Scene 1
Macbeth becomes a king. However, he does not want
Banquo‟s son to be a king next him . "Thou shalt get
kings, though thou be none" and this makes Macbeth stop
and think for a while. Also Banquo starts to suspect him
already . Therefore, he hires two killer to kill Banquo,
especially his son, Fleance.
11. Act 3 Scene 2
Banquo notices that someone tries to kill them . After he asks his son
to escape , he is killed by the two killers that Macbeth sends to .
Afterwards, killers report the situation to Macbeth that Banquo is
dead but Fleance escapes already. Macbeth becomes very nervous and
worried.
12. Act 3 Scene 3
When Macbeth goes to feast to have dinner with many guest . Macbeth starts
to lose his mind because he is very worried after being told by killers that
Fleance is alive. Lady Macbeth blames him for his inappropriate behaviours .
At this time , he even see a ghost of his good friend, Banquo.
