This document discusses using the movie "Happy Feet" to teach English. It provides activities for students to complete as they watch the movie, such as filling in blanks in a song lyrics worksheet and putting scenes of the movie in order. After watching, students would discuss the moral of the story in small groups, bringing up ideas around pollution, animal extinction, and accepting differences. The goal is for learning to be fun through using a story and for students to discuss broader lessons taught in the movie.

Put the scenes in order of the movie and make a sentence to describe each scene.

Students would be divided in small groups to discuss the movie.
They would try to figure out the moral of the story.
Ideas such as pollution and animal extinction should be raised. Solutions to
this phenomenon should be elaborated.
Ideas such as tolerance and accepting differences should be also shed
light upon. Mumble was a different penguin but his difference saved his
fellow species.
At the end of the movie take a little time to learn to tap dance with your
students using the tutorial included in the DVD. I would have loved to have
tried it with my students, but in this part of the world it is not PC. Besides I
am really bad at dance. Like Mumble with singing, tap dancing is
something I can not do, but I love teaching, and hope one day that will make
a difference somewhere on this earth.
