Welcome to New England College’s online Master of Science in Management webinar. My name is Angela and I will be your moderator for today. In a moment, I will be handing things over to our first speaker. Before we begin, I would like to explain how this presentation will work. To cut out the background noise, we’ve muted your phone. So you can hear the speaker, but they cannot hear you. We will be having a brief presentation today, followed by a Q&A session. To ask questions, just type your question into the chat box in the right-hand side of your screen and hit ‘Enter.’ We will address your questions in the order asked and will try to answer as many as time allows.
Your panelists for today are Amy Rafferty, Pravina Shan , Jeannmy Zamora, Ron Messner, Kenneth Jobity, and Melnia Cordis-Howell. Dr. Amy Rafferty is Director of Distance Learning and has been teaching in NEC’s graduate school since 2002. She is also responsible for course development and the day-to-day operation of Online NEC. She frequently talks with prospective students about the online learning experience and the support they can expect as they complete their degree online. Pravina Shan , our Senior Admissions Advisor, is on board to answer any of your admissions questions. As an Admissions Advisor, Pravina walks new students through the entire admissions and financial aid process, making it easy for them to get started and pursue their degree. Jeannmy Zamora , Student Services Advisor, is on hand to answer your enrollment and class questions. Jeannmy’s objective is to help all students achieve their educational goals by counseling students during the enrollment process. Ron Messner has been the controller of Malone University for the past 20 years. He is also chairman of the board of directors for a local credit union. Ron is completing the MSM in Non-Profit Leadership degree at New England College, which has been both beneficial and very helpful in his work. Kenneth Jobity has completed his Masters of Science in Management online. He is currently a supervisor in the Order Operations department at Aspen Technology, Inc. - a multi-million dollar software company with it's headquarters in Burlington, MA. The program has given him the tools and empowerment to effectively work in this fast pace environment, manage his group, review/approve all revenue deals in a timely fashion, and contribute to the advancement of the department/company in a professional manner. Melnia Cordis-Howell is a trial attorney with an insurance company. She decided to obtain her Masters in Non-Profit Leadership because of the work she has been doing in the past 4 years with churches and other non-profit entities. New England College provided the ideal forum for her to continue her regular work schedule, while completing the masters program. Okay, let’s get started.
