In France the iPhone 4S has a higher device satisfaction than the iPhone 5 and in Germany, the iPhone 5 doesn’t even rank in the top 5 devices for user satisfaction. These are the findings from our latest device satisfaction study, where we asked 320,000 mobile and tablet users in six countries, including the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan and Indonesia, about how satisfied they were with their device. In France the iPhone 4S has a higher device satisfaction than the iPhone 5. In Germany, Samsung dominates the list of top rank devices for satisfaction, with four devices in the top 5 - the Samsung Galaxy S 3 Mini taking the top spot for user satisfaction. On an aggregated level Apple is the top manufacturer for device satisfaction in Germany, however the iPhone 5 doesn’t rank in the top 5 devices for user satisfaction. Although Apple created one of the most revolutionary devices of the past decade, other manufactures have caught up, with some Android powered devices now commanding higher levels of user satisfaction.

2. Methodology
This is one of the largest studies of device satisfaction,
measuring 320,000 mobile and tablet users across the
US, UK, France, Germany, Japan and Indonesia.
The following slides contain data from 20,021 French and
9,116 German mobile users, who were asked how
satisfied they are with their mobile on a 10 point scale.
All questions were asked through a survey users had
taken via the mobile Internet, where their mobile device
is automatically identified.
The question was sent to our panel of respondents and
only results that are statistically significant, are included
in the presentation.
