First and foremost Oliver was a great person to have in the waterfront
team. He arrived as a well qualified Instructor with additional
endorsements, but what struck me most and indeed made my job easier
was his willingness and enthusiasm to learn, develop his skills and
take on greater responsibility. While many see the chance to work for
an overseas watersports company as a holiday, Oliver used the
opportunity to progress his experience and knowledge. As such we put
him through training to become a senior member of the watersports
team. This involved running a beach of 160 sailing craft including
dinghies, day yachts, ski boats and windsurfers. Other
responsibilities Oliver undertook included running on-water safety
cover and staff training for our trainee instructors and non
watersports staff. He also ran our high performance dinghy and
catermaran clinics in addition to developing the relevant skills and
experience to work with our Yachting Instructors to run day skipper
charters.
Oliver was a pleasure to have in the team, both on a professional and
personal level. He was a well respected member of the team and got on
extremely well with both colleagues and guests. I would not hesitate
to employ him again.
