2. Audience Profile
• My game will appeal to the primary age 16-19 year old with Candy Crush being a
popular game and my game being based off that I think it will appeal to them
because it is a similar game and will be exciting and interesting for the audience
with it being something different.
• My primary gender for the game is female as I think my game will appeal most to
them. I think the colour scheme I use for my game will appeal to them as it will be
bright and more girly. The secondary gender is male, my game will still appeal to
them because it will be tense and will include some challenge to excite the players.
• My NRS social grade is C2DE as this is the group that my product aims most at. My
product will be free so it will appeal most to them.
3. Style sheet
I used adobe color for my colour schemes for my game as it helps to pick out the
best colours and also colours that go well together. From the colour scheme you can
see the colours I am going to use are bright and colourful which will help to make
my game more exciting.
This sort of colour scheme I will use for my animals to make them stand out the
most and shows the audience what the main focus is.
5. Style Sheet
I used adobe color for these colour schemes.
I made three as I have three different levels to my game with different themes. I have
a jungle animal theme, farm animals and pets.
The different shades of green is for the jungle themed level. This is the ideas for the
background behind the game having these different shades of green will suggest
straight away what sort of theme it is as the background of the game will be set in a
jungle.
The yellow and brown colour wheel is for the farm themed level. I am planning on
using these sort of colours for the background of this level as I think this fits best with
this theme. It will show the audience what the theme of the level but also lets the rest
of the colours from the game stand out more as they are more dull.
The last colour scheme is pink and brown colours as this is pets themed so I wanted it
to be house colours but not to take away any of the focus from the game. They are
very neutral colours but I can use them to set the scene in the background.
7. Style Sheet
I used two similar images as this is the style of game I am going to make. They use
bright colours for the items that need to be matched up which I would like to include
in my game as I think it it makes the main part of the game stand out and make it
more exciting for the audience.
This helps me see the sort of layout I need to do for the game and how it should look
and different details I can add to keep it interesting for the audience.
The other style of art I have included has the same theme as one of my levels, this
gives me an idea for different title screens for my different levels to tell the audience
what level they are on to make them keep wanting to play to what was different levels
are included.
14. Sound Effects/Dialogue
Sound Effects
Animal noises – I can make these myself to include in my game
Award noise (when points are collected)
Fail noise (something gone wrong or not allowed)
Clock noise for the countdown
Ran out of time sound
Congratulation sound (if level is completed)
Filling the bar noise noise (when 3 or more of the same animal is matched)
All of these sounds I am planning on doing myself either recording working objects
making the noise or recording myself making the noise to include them into my game.
15. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Computer crashing Make sure to save regularly in more than one
place, email to yourself or tutor or save onto a
memory stick.
Software crashing Save in more than one place and save as soon
as something is changed to stop you from
loosing anything.
Power cut This could happen at anytime so make sure to
regularly save any work being worked on.
Running low/out of time Use time out of lessons to complete any
outstanding work to make sure you get
everything in on time.
16. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Backaches Take a break if this starts to happen and have a walk
around to avoid the risk of it getting worse.
Headaches Sitting and looking at a computer screen all day can
cause you to have a headache, make sure to take
breaks to try and stop this.
Eye strain Computer screens can be bright and staring at them
for a long time can strain your eyes, make sure if you
need glasses you wear them, take breaks or dull the
brightness down.
No open drinks near the computers during
lesson
Keep drinks with the lids on and make sure it is only
water being drunk near the computers, if it isn’t water
move away from the computers to stop and spillage
happening
Wires all tucked away Any wires used in the classroom to be kept out of the
way to stop people from tripping over when walking
around the classroom to stop injuries.
Bags left in a safe place and out the way Bags must be kept under the desks to stop the risk of
someone falling over them when walking round.
