Bancóldex is Colombia's business development bank that supports MSMEs, internationalization of Colombian companies, and promotes sustainable development. It finances foreign trade, entrepreneurship, and MSME productivity. Bancóldex has sustainability strategies focused on green growth, social welfare, creative industries, and efficient management of environmental and social risks. One program is the Energy Savings Insurance Program which promotes energy efficiency investment through risk mitigation and guaranteed energy performance. It has provided $20 million in financing and 280 energy insurance policies across 8 departments in Colombia.
