Thailand 4.0: Dual Vocational Education and Training

  • 2. 2 Development of Dual VET System in Thailand Starting in 1984 with technical assistance of Federal Republic of Germany ✓ 2013 ---6.6% or 43,375 students in ✓ DVE with 7,826 industries ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓ ✓
  • 3. 3 Dual VET System was identifies in 1999 Education Law and 2008 Vocational Education Law Strengths of Dual VET System in Thailand 2013 National Public and Private Committee for VET with 14 Occupational Sub-Committee 2015 -19 Occupational Sub-Committee 2021 -28 Occupational Sub-Committee Incentives for Industries - 200% Income Tax Reduction for Industries involved in Dual VET System - Qualified VET Manpower and Early Recruitment - Value-added CSR
  • 4. Key Success Factors 1. More demand on qualified VET Manpower 2. Partnership system are promoted at both policy and institutional levels 3. Active Public & Private Sub-Committee of 28 Occupational Groups
