The Jordan Competitiveness and Investment project supports Jordanian institutions in strengthening investment policy, promotion, and services over 3 years starting in 2014. The project has 3 components: supporting improved investment rules and regulations; strengthening investment facilitation and investor protection capacities; and coordinating reform implementation. Key results will include adopting a strategic investment plan, endorsing an action plan to improve investor services, and establishing a public-private dialogue group on competitiveness and investment issues.
2. Objective of the Project
• The Jordan Competitiveness and Investment project
supports the Government of Jordan in strengthening
the reform implementation capacity of selected
institutions responsible for investment policy, promotion
and services.
• Key results indicators include:
Adoption of a strategic plan
to implement a new
investment framework;
Endorsement of the Action
Plan to improve services to
investors;
Participation of officials in
training and workshops on
drafting bylaws and promoting
investment services; and
Regular meetings of a
Public Private Dialogue group
on Competitiveness and
Investment Issues.

4. Component 1
Component 1 supports the implementation of improved
investment rules and regulations, both for domestic and foreign
investors, at the national level and in the selected pilot sector of
RE/EE.
