The European Panna Tour is a part of the NowWeMOVE Campaign which has the overall objectives to promote MOVE Week, raise awareness of the benefits of sport and physical activity among European citizens, and to promote opportunities for people to be active in order to improve their health and well-being. Panna tour is an amazing practice from Denmark showing how street sport can bridge gaps, give opportunities and get young people not off the streets, but keep them on the street doing something good for themselves. No Elevators Day is a pan-European initiative implemented for the 1st time in 2015, as part of the NowWeMOVE campaign lead by ISCA.
The event had two main objectives:
1. To raise awareness on the benefits of physically active lifestyle among the European citizens and to promote physical activity as a tool to improve the overall health and well-being of the European population, and to demonstrate how easy it is to avoid sedentary lifestyle, despite our busy everyday lives.
ISCA and its local partners invited citizens and various organisations, institutions and companies to seal off some of the elevators and escalators in their buildings and to encourage the employees and co-workers to take the stairs instead.

European Panna Tour is a part of the NWM Campaign of which the overall objectives are to raise awareness of the benefits of sport and physical activity among European citizens and to promote opportunities to be active in sport and physical activity. NWM is coordinated centrally by ISCA in collaboration with the European Cyclist Federation (ECF). Panna Tour is one of the promotional events of the campaign launched in November 2014 and executed in May 2015 in collaboration with Copenhagen Panna House and DGI. WHAT WAS THE PANNA TOUR?
- 4. ⢠To bring attractive street panna football on the main squares of selected cities. ⢠Panna is innovative, easy to organize and easy to practice. ⢠Share a story of how street sport not only engages people in PA but also changes lives. ⢠Gain visibility of the NowWeMove campaign. ⢠Involve local organizations, partners and stakeholders into continuing the effort to move people throughout the year. WHY IT WAS ORGANIZED?
- 6. MAIN STORY OF THE PANNA TOUR Panna tour is not just an event for PR, but also sharing an amazing practice from Denmark. The leader of the team is a Macedonian Roma, who now lives in Denmark. He is part of the Street Football Cup organization together with DGI and believes in panna as a tool for social inclusion. We do tend to have as a main story how street sport can bridge gaps, give opportunities and get young people not off the streets, but keep them on the street doing something good for themselves. While visiting them at their playground, we experienced how easy the mob (us as outsiders) was integrated in the group and allowed to try the panna. Amazing experience!!!
