Work Completed over the Past Few Months

• Summer and fall seasons : good work progress in general
on the East Approach
 End of the works of wall and building for the east
abutment
 More than 95% of the piers segments were installed
(86 out of 90)
 pre-assembly of girders (90 girders on 176 delivered,
including 35 already pre-assembled)
• Four complaints since May 15 2017

Objective: Construction of East Approach of the new Champlain Bridge
Underway and upcoming Works:

• Daytime work, to the extent possible, when the impacts (especially noise

Works and Impacts:
Status report on tree cutting
• Tree cutting required for new developments (retention basins, permanent ramp and temporary
reconfiguration of Highway 10) and to clear construction sites
• Application process for authorization from the City of Brossard
• 927 authorized trees vs 875 cut trees
• Permits obtained require replanting the same number of trees as those cut
• Project landscaping plan provides for the planting of 5,000 trees
• Obligation to restore construction sites to their natural state or equivalent at the end of the project 24
