Chief Architect of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Vegetable Oils Club, 1995. Suggested the
formation of this organization to, which was accepted by, business leader-delegates from Malaysia, Indonesia and the
Philippines. Crafted the organization’s by-laws and articles of cooperation.
Defended before Brazil’s Departmento Tekniko De Tarifa the well-documented Philippine position opposing the
countervailing duty imposed by the Brazilian government on Philippine exports of desiccated coconut, Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil, June 1995 and October 1994.
Writing and Public Speaking Experience
The Developmental & Regulatory Functions of the Philippine Coconut Authority: 1973-2000 (doctoral dissertation
submitted to/defended before the distinguished panel of National College of Public Administration & Governance,
University of the Philippines), March 2003.

proceedings of conferences, 1992 – 200.
Presented 13 papers and lectured before the participants in international conferences on various issues, problems,
