Amenorrhoea.
Morning Sickness.
Frequent micturition.
Breast discomfort.
Fatigue.
Per abdomen : Uterus remains a pelvic organ until 12th
week, it may be just felt per abdomen as a suprapubic bulge.
25. Chloasma / Acne.
Breast Changes: Colostrum becomes thick & yellow by 16th weeks,
Secondary areola become demarcated at about 20weeks.
Linea nigra. .
Striae ( both pink & white)
Fundal height:
16th weeks: Midway between the symphysis pubis & umbilicus.
24th weeks: At the level of umbilicus.
28th weeks: Lower 1/3rd & upper 2/3rd of distance between the
umbilicus & ensiform cartilage( Xiphoid process).
26. Amenorrhoea persists.
Progressive enlargement of the abdomen.
Fetal movement are more pronounced.
Frequency of micturition.
More prominent with increased pigmentation & striae .
Uterine changes cylindrical to spherical beyond 36th weeks.
Fundal Height:
At 32th weeks : The fundal height corresponds to the junction of the upper & middle third .
At 36th weeks: It corresponds to the level of xiphoid process.
At 40th weeks: It comes down to 32th weeks level because of engagement of the
presenting Part. If the head is floating it is 32th weeks pregnancy & If the head is engaged
it is of 40th weeks of pregnancy.
Palpation of the fetal parts & their identification become much easier. i.e Lie ,
Presentation & Position of the uterus are determined. (Lightening)
