2. ReviewTrackers + Zapier
Our customers have been asking us how they can more easily and
automatically send out review request emails via our Request Reviews Tool. We
are now thrilled to announce we have added a layer of automation through our
new integration with Zapier!
This new integration is a giant step forward in saving you time by automating routine
request review emails without coding, and setting it up takes just minutes.*
Zapier connects 400+ web applications and services together by building “Zaps”, which are
automations consisting of “Triggers” and “Actions.” It’s a far more powerful, enterprise-level,
version of IFTTT and the solution many of our customers are looking for.
Zaps, at their core are one-to-one relationships and operate off the basic principle of “IF-
THEN” statements.
Here are a few examples of the integrations currently possible:
IF New Subscriber is added to MailChimp THEN Send Request Review Email
IF New Row is added to Google Spreadsheet THEN Send Request Review Email
IF New Contact is added to Insightly THEN Send Request Review Email
It’s simple and ingenious with a vast array of possibilities.
We are exceedingly proud and excited for all the new opportunities this brings for us and
our customers.
Why Not Native Integrations?
Native integrations are costly, difficult to establish and manage, and typically, each
integration, only fit the needs of a small set of customers. On the other hand, a single
integration between ReviewTrackers and Zapier means access to a growing list of 400+ web
applications with highly customizable settings.** Many of which are already in use by our
customers.

3. Why Zapier?
By talking to our customers and diving deeply into how customers would actually use
integrations, we came across two core problems we had to address:
1. There was an incredible amount of web applications our customers are making
use. It would take us years to create native integrations with all the web
applications our customers use on a daily basis.
2. Not only were the web applications themselves incredibly vast and diverse, their
use also varied quite a bit between customers. The amount of customized
features we would need to create per integration would be mind boggling.
Zapier easily addressed the two core problems we faced. As noted earlier, Zapier integrates
with a growing list of 400+ web applications. This solved our first core problem. As for our
second core problem, Zapier also gives each individual customer control to tweak the
details of how exactly an integration will work.
Zapier was clearly the platform we had to integrate with.
What’s Next?
While we are off to a running start with a handful of trials, please note we are still working
through all possible use cases and curating a list of fail-proof integrations through Zapier.
We’ve been able to learn quite a bit about what our current and future customers want in
their integrations, please continue the conversation with our Support and Sales team to
help us going forward as we build onto our Zapier integration.
Limitations
Unfortunately, while Zapier makes web applications talk to each other with ease and
sometimes gives the illusion that it simply works like magic. It’s not magic.
Not all 400+ web applications working with Zapier will work directly with the
ReviewTrackers Zapier integration. This might be because the web application is not
entirely relevant to our use cases or the web application might have limitations to how it
integrates with Zapier.
Please note how we use the word “directly” in the preceding paragraph. There might be
instances where several integrations might be used in order to produce the end result.
Please consult with our team on your specific use case in order to confirm the feasibility of
a particular Zapier integration. We have a talented team of individuals and outside-the-box
thinkers seeking to understand our customers’ pain points and a solution may be
possible using several Zapier integrations or something radically different.
