Nishat Gupte, born 1990 in Wales, is a professional fish chef. As a poissonier, Gupte’s passions include cooking, fishing and aquaculture, which are the focus of both his professional and personal life. Born in Pwllheli, Wales, Gupte spent his childhood climbing mountains, fishing, hiking, camping, surfing and white water rafting in the Welsh countryside, and as a result, he still continues to enjoy these various hobbies. Gupte also plays the ukulele in a local folk band that plays regular gigs in bars and pubs around Wales.
