after listening to the song “sunshine” what would
you expect to see in the video, digipak and magazine
advertisement?

2. Overall from our audience research we found that a romantic love story is
expected from most of the audience and that the settings should be
somewhere related to hip hop but also romantic. The audience suggested
locations such as a club, a beach, the streets or a summery park. As a
group for the locations we have decided to shoot in a club as this
represents hip hop for the music, dancing, women and alcohol. However
we will also include the streets in our settings as its very urban and shows
the artists neighbourhood and culture. For the clothing the majority of the
audience suggested urban street wear clothing such as baggy jeans,
hooded jumpers and jewellery as this represents the gangster look which
relates to hip hop. We also found that the hip hop industry portrays
women as sex objects to the audience in revealing clothes and that the
industry is male dominated. Therefore we have decided that the female
characters clothing is going to be classy, sophisticated to show that she is a
decent human being. We will also be dressing the male artist in formal,
classy clothes to show star image and that he is not your everyday typical
hip hop artist he is unique and sophisticated. Furthermore from the
female in the sound recording in the previous slide suggested that the
clothing and theme should be similar on the digipak, advertisement and in
the video to show its all linked. We will develop theme ideas for the three
products to link all three products together.
