Elon Reeve Musk was born on June 28, 1971, in Pretoria, one of
South Africa's capital cities. He was baptized into an Anglican
church. Musk is of British and Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry. His
mother is Maye Musk (née Haldeman), a model and dietitian
who was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, and raised in South
