1. My aim in Life
“No matter where are you from , your dreams are valid.”
An aim is something a person or business wants to do. It is a statement of
direction that drives certain activities. There are 2 things to aim in life; first is
to get what you want and second is after that to enjoy is. Life without aim is
useless, aimless and pointless. Life is a great blessing of God. It should be spent
on a purpose, with certain aim. Otherwise, there will be no difference between
the life of man and that of animals.
Life is not a bed of roses. It is the bed of thorns. It is full of hardships. We
have to face calamities at every step. Aim is very important in our life. It is
often said that life is a challenge and struggle. If we lead a successful life, we
must have a definite and clear aim in view, so in order to make our lives great
we should make great efforts. Robert Browning says, “The aim if reached or not
makes great the life.” It provides direction to one’s energies. It strengthens the
man. It is a guiding principle. It urges man to head towards his goal. Without
aim life is like a desert where no flower blooms. Life is olden times was simple.
Man had to hunt for food, nothing more. But, now is a different time. We have
new challenges to meet. We have new problems to solve. So, one should be
ready for all these things. One can face life and its problems with a plan.
Without a plan, life would be difficult to lead.
There are as many aims as men. Some people want to be civil or military
officers: other wish to be engineers and doctors. Many spire to be lawyer and
politicians. Some of them like to become poet and novelists. Some other wants
to be artists and some wants to be a Teacher.
Aim differs according to the inclination of the people. so man should chose his
aim that suits his taste. Otherwise he will fail in his life. My ambition is

2. teaching. There are many reasons for this. The best people are those who teach
others, who guide others, who fight against ignorance and who determine the
destiny of the nation. It is the teacher who can perform all these tasks. A
teacher is like a lamp that spread light everywhere. He is like a ladder that
remains at its place and helps others to go higher and higher. He brings people
out of ignorance and takes them to the highest of glory. He is like a guiding
star. He is the maker of the nation. Other people works on men’s bodies. But
the teacher works on the minds and souls. He makes them useful citizens. He
remains ever young, active and smart.
“Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions”
He is responsible member of society. He is highly educated. He draws handsome
salary. He leads honorable life. He is free of any kind of lucrative thinking. So
that is the why; I am charmed by the life of a teacher.
It is because I am interested in Urdu. The very verses of Urdu haunt me. Beside
this it is our national language. So, I aspire to devote myself to the
development and progress of Urdu. That is the why; I aspire to become a
lecturer of Urdu. I know that lofty aims require hard struggle. Becon says,” The
mould of man’s fortune is in his own hand”. So I shall work day and night for
my nation. I shall be contented to think that I am making my own nation.
“Have an aim in your life – then don’t forget to pull the trigger.”
