RESEARCH : CREATING AN OVERALL PURPOSE
A unique time-capsul app that allows you to
safely store your thoughts by delaying the
user (with a couple options) from pre‑maturely
reviewing messages until a certain amount of
time has passed to increase its impact.
The scribble may become
forgotten by the time an
individual arrives back to
their comfort space, or
ideas are continuously
being reworked in their
head without the benefit
of allowing time to bring
about a new perspective.
Retreiving the message
depends on the amount of
time the user allowed the
message to mature ranging
from: 1-week, 1-month, or
1-year. After the allowed
time has passed, the user
will receive a notification
that their message can be
reviewed.
The reaction depends
on the the message’s
sentimentality, or
importance. There’s many
experience that come
with the flow of time.
Perspectives change,
people grow, influences
from a previous thought,
or randomly formed
inspirations shape the way
we think.
The user will have an
idea or thought floating
in their mind. Here they’ll
open up Capsul, record
their thought through a
text or voice message, and
incubate the message to
allow the mind to clear,
and fade away.
Potential users find
themselves looking for
either a digital or physical
notepad/napkin to
scribble down an idea as
an incentive to review it
later.

PLANNING : STORYBOARDING (INITIAL SKETCHES)
Gerald is about to graduate in 1 month. He’s
excited that he’s completing his web design
degree soon because he wants to earn some
money creating websites for potential clients
He starts looking up future jobs from job
posting sites and they discourage him
mentioning he needs 4 years of experience
Feeling discouraged, he asks himself “how
is it possible to obtain jobs with 4 years of
experience when i haven’t landed a job yet?”
He gains hope and wants to encourage
himself in the future. He opens the app and
taps on an orb.
He speaks into his app while his thoughts
are still fresh, hoping that one day it may
spark some inspiration for something he
does not know yet.
He puts his app away and starts developing
a portfolio site to drive interest to his
customers, or employers
1 month later gerald wakes up and receives
a notification from 1 month ago
He is surprised that he forgot, and that
small spark gave him energy to continue
and to just ponder about that thought.
