RESEARCH : CREATING AN OVERALL PURPOSE
A unique time-capsul app that allows you to
safely store your thoughts by delaying the
user (with a couple options) from pre‑maturely
reviewing messages until a certain amount of
time has passed to increase its impact.
The scribble may become
forgotten by the time an
individual arrives back to
their comfort space, or
ideas are continuously
being reworked in their
head without the benefit
of allowing time to bring
about a new perspective.
Retreiving the message
depends on the amount of
time the user allowed the
message to mature ranging
from: 1-week, 1-month, or
1-year. After the allowed
time has passed, the user
will receive a notification
that their message can be
reviewed.
The reaction depends
on the the message’s
sentimentality, or
importance. There’s many
experience that come
with the flow of time.
Perspectives change,
people grow, influences
from a previous thought,
or randomly formed
inspirations shape the way
we think.
The user will have an
idea or thought floating
in their mind. Here they’ll
open up Capsul, record
their thought through a
text or voice message, and
incubate the message to
allow the mind to clear,
and fade away.
Potential users find
themselves looking for
either a digital or physical
notepad/napkin to
scribble down an idea as
an incentive to review it
later.

RESEARCH : IDENTIFYING DEMOGRAPHICS
A private outlet to record a quick
message that can be of use later.
A pondering thought that has been
in your head to clear your mind
A way to record a special
message that would
reoccur to them every year.
When social media hinders what
they actually want to say
When something exciting or
interesting that happens during
their day, and wants to record
something random
When they would want
to remind themselves of
a time that they would
appreciate in the future
Creative space
Educational settings
Adventure or Hike
Young college student 18–24
Young working professionals
A way to give yourself some time
to think about an idea and let time
pass before it comes back again for
review
it would notifiy them
privately on what they
were thinking (on a
personal level) exactly
one year ago. They would
be able to retreive a note
from the past to help align
or reignite their thoughts
or even passion.
Gives an opportunity to let
curiosity flow by sending a
message to the future allowing
time to pass by and forget about a
message until retreived again
Generation X
Allows user to directly send a
message to their future‑self simply
by typing/speaking into the app,
encapsulating the message and
setting its incubation period.
It would help you with trusting the
app to hold your ideas & thoughts
and will send you a notification
when your message is ready to be
reviewed.
It can help them
reappreciate their first
experiences by expressing
their excitement and
incubating the message
to come back to them a
year later.

PLANNING : STORYBOARDING (INITIAL SKETCHES)
Gerald is about to graduate in 1 month. He’s
excited that he’s completing his web design
degree soon because he wants to earn some
money creating websites for potential clients
He starts looking up future jobs from job
posting sites and they discourage him
mentioning he needs 4 years of experience
Feeling discouraged, he asks himself “how
is it possible to obtain jobs with 4 years of
experience when i haven’t landed a job yet?”
He gains hope and wants to encourage
himself in the future. He opens the app and
taps on an orb.
He speaks into his app while his thoughts
are still fresh, hoping that one day it may
spark some inspiration for something he
does not know yet.
He puts his app away and starts developing
a portfolio site to drive interest to his
customers, or employers
1 month later gerald wakes up and receives
a notification from 1 month ago
He is surprised that he forgot, and that
small spark gave him energy to continue
and to just ponder about that thought.

PLANNING : STORYBOARDING (INITIAL SKETCHES)
Anna woke up early in the morning to attend
school at college
Once noon hit, they allowed everyone to
head out for lunch. She decides to roam
around the city blocks to check out what
would sparks her curiousity.
She found a small bar/restaurant and
decided to try their cod sandwhich
She ordered the cod sandwhich and started
waiting for a couple minutes
Once they served her the cod, and they
served a large portion for her. once she bit
into it she was surprised how good it is.
Exactly 1 year later, anna wakes up and
receives that notification she made from
that bar she found the cod sandwhich. She
reviews it and out comes the audio.
She is surprised that she forgot, and that
small memory got her to set a date with her
friends to visit the place and have some
dinner together.
She speaks into her app while her thoughts
about the environment and food while it’s
still fresh. It may swade her thoughts in the
future, who knows?
