2. OUR PROJECT
The Project that we're currently monitoring has been
created by the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna
of Pisa and the Medical Department of Pontedera.
Ronda, Acronim of "Robotica indossabile personalizzata
per la riabilitazione motoria dell’arto superiore per i
pazienti neurologici", is the name that they
chose for the project.
Thanks to "Ronda" the patients could benefit from the
opportunities that will
come from using these innovative Pieces of Technology.
The Union of these two factors, calibrated on the motor
capabilities of the patient,will offer a greater and more
efficient therapy throughout his rehabilitation course.

3. Up to now, we have attended only three
lessons at school, in the first one we
were followed by an external expert
from Europe Direct of Pisa.
This Expert, helped us choose one of
the many projects that were available.

4. PROGRESS
Throughout the course of the project, a
gym with wearable Robots will be located
in the NeuroRiabilitation department of the
Cisanello Hospital in Pisa, and another
one in the Versilia Hospital at Viareggio.
The Gym Will be equipped with at least 5
stations for the reabilitation, that will grant
different ways for the rehabilitation
progress:

5. Two Robotic Systems for the rehabilitation of the
Arms for Neurological Patients with reduced
Motor Capability; Robotic devices for hand
rehabilitation, a new Human-Machine Interface
that allows the patient to exploit the capabilities
left in the muscles of the upper Part of the Limb.

6. PAYMENTS
When we first started monitoring
this project, the funds were still
unavailable, but a few days ago,
the first funds started to show up.
Right now, the project has been
funded for the 30%
(Public Funds: around 500.000
Euros , Funds from the Develop
and Cohesion 2007-13 around
1.300.000 euros)
