Abolition
“Acknowledges the Ngunnawal peoples as the traditional custodians of the land upon which the University's main campus sits, and pays respect to all Elders past and present.”
This is my vision. This is what I am working for and it helps guide what I spend my time doing. It helps to keep me
There has been keen interest in technology development of alternatives to non-human animal products. However there is some resistance to these sorts of products.
Now there are several companies that are taking it a step further to try and deal with this resistance to plant based foods. They are using cell culture techniques to grow animal flesh without the need for animal lives.
This is equally applicable to any other form of possibly rapid disruption.
I strongly believe that a vegan future is possible,
Generic = largely the same messages, motivational techniques and methods of message delivery.
Educational Outreach = We are relying on individual change.
Now this might be obvious to everyone here, and no one really expected to win the dairy campaign but are we using the best mix of approaches that we can? I think the important thing to ask is how do we win the dairy campaign, especially in light of future disruption?
- What we are seeing in Victoria is the Grey hound industry hanging on in spite of what has happened in other places around Australia. This means that individuals are being abused and live baiting continues to happen. The essence of what I am talking about is exemplified by this example. In the mid future I suspect we will be presented with opportunities to hasten the closing down of animal industries, but if we aren’t prepared it could be a long drawn out affair that is extremely bad for the individuals being used by those industries.
