company owned fleet of 68 class 8 tractors and 96 refrigerated trailers to ensure fleet reliability and

Transportation Manager and department supervisors to ensure daily/weekly equipment needs of the
Transportation Department were met.
· 06/2004 – 05/2007 – Promoted to Transportation Manager responsible for 104 drivers and 6 supervisors
making multiple weekly deliveries to restaurants in 6 states in the Midwest while maintaining a high level
of on-time delivery and order accuracy. Worked with supervisors to ensure efficient and updated routing
and profitable backhaul opportunities. Reviewed and adjusted driver scheduling to maintain proper
staffing levels. Responsible for planning manpower and asset requirements as customer and seasonal

hours per day 7 days per week. Developed preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to maintain
compliance with all Federal Department of Transportation regulations and company policies as well as
improve fleet reliability and availability. Also responsible for the maintenance, safety and compliance of the
175,00 sf refrigerated distribution facility and material handling equipment utilizing in-house maintenance
staff and outside contractors when necessary. Responsible for overseeing the completion 50,000 sf
expansion of the freezer/cooler department.

· 05/1989 – 06/1996 – Fleet maintenance technician responsible for repair and maintenance of class 8

· 06/1996 – 11/2002 – Promoted to Fleet Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the repair and
maintenance of 120 class 8 tractors and 180 refrigerated trailers. Staffing included 16 technicians, 8 yard
hostlers, 2 truck washers and 1 parts clerk operating 3 shifts per day, 7 days per week. Maintained all
equipment following company guidelines and Federal Department of Transportation regulations.

Distribution. Recruited and trained department staff. Conducted annual performance reviews and
