     Finding financing... ...almost all of this is Free!

     Facebook (personal networking)
     Twitter (info gathering)
     LinkedIn (professional networking)
     YouTube (mid-length videos)
     12Seconds.tv (12 second videos)
     Tumblr (easy blogging)
     WordPress (complex blogging)

Basic Tenants
     Nobody cares (until you give them a reason to)
     Add value wherever possible (links, pictures,
     details)
     Be yourself - and be personable - don’t just be a
     repeating ad for yourself or your business
     Play to your strengths: if you can’t write, don’t
     blog... make a video blog or podcast instead
     Listen and ask questions

Social Media Is Not..
      A silver bullet. If you or your
      company suck, you’ll suck louder
      using social media.
      A PR Plan. You still have to listen to
      your customers.
      A Marketing Plan. No tool can
      correct a bad marketing strategy.
      Easy to “just do”. Plan ahead.
