1. SWOT analysis provides a good way
for companies to examine both
positive and negative attributes
within a single analysis, determining
how best to compete in the market at
large. It helps in the formation of a
strategy so as to make preparations
for the possible threats from the
competitors.
2. SWOT Analysis can help you every
time you look at the different types of
companies that are available in the
area, and so you know who your
strongest competitor.
3. SWOT analysis can also be used in
pre-crisis planning and preventive
crisis management.
4. SWOT also helps you play defense as
well. Your weaknesses are areas or
vulnerability that competitors may
point out, and that may deter
customers from patronizing your
business
5. SWOT helps form important policies.
Because SWOT analysis can help
you get a better perspective of the
potential threats and opportunities a
business faces, it gives you chance to
create robust strategies and policies
in regards to how you want your
company to operate.
6. SWOT identifies potential barriers .
Entrepreneurship is like being on a
boat and getting constantly hit by
waves. With every step you make
towards improving your business, its
guaranteed you are going to find
another obstacle waiting for you. But
that’s why SWOT analysis comes in

product, it helps you develop a full
awareness of your situation to figure

at and what moves you can make to
succeed. If you are hoping to start
your own business and gain a
competitive advantage in the market,
you will have to use the SWOT
analysis to simplify the
decision-making process and point
you in the right direction.
8. SWOT analysis evaluates the
