This document discusses digital leadership and strategies for public sector organizations. It notes that in 2005 the author began experimenting with digital tools and social media for engagement. Examples are provided of case studies where organizations successfully used blogs, social media and digital communications to connect with residents. The document concludes with 11 things all organizations need to do to improve their digital leadership, such as having a digital communications specialist, using social media to solve problems, and tackling issues of trust with training.
