Recommendation
• Stage 3: Conclusive research
• Null hypothesis : The e-book readership has no impact on the
readership of printed books
• Alternate hypothesis: The e-book readership has negatively
impacted the readership of printed books
• Variables:
– Independent variable : Readership of e-books
– Dependent variable: Readership of printed books
– Moderating variables: Availability, Interest, Awareness
Conclusion
Survey was conducted to study the effect of availability of e-books on
the readership of printed books/ hard copies
The increasing awareness and availability of technology has
impacted the readership for printed books. However each has its
own pros and cons.
Printed books are still preferred over e-books by most of the people
and resistance to change is a major contributing factor.
As and when technology becomes more user friendly, more readers
would veer towards e-books.
