⢠The Indian Premier League (IPL), was
created by the BCCI and sanctioned by
ICC in 2008.
⢠IPL is a Twenty20 format cricket
competetion, started from April 2008 and
lasted for 44 days, involving 59 matches.
⢠The governing council consist Chairman
and Commissioner Lalit Modi, Sunil
Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Arun Jaitely and
others.
5. ⢠IPL Season-3 is played from March 12 to
April 25, 2010.
⢠IPL is a franchisee system. The franchisee
will own the eight teams, which are going
to be 10 from IPL season 4.
⢠There are top cricketers of India and
foreign like Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky
Pointing, Adam Gilchrist, Sanath Jasurya,
Yuvraj Singh, M.S. Dhoni, and more than
120 players in the competition.
