Enclosure
studio 1 I conceptual project I 2 weeks duration
Objective
Main objective of this project was to develop the sense of
enclosure and understanding proportion and scale.
Sense of enclosure can be achieved by arranging different
forms and elements in different spaces. The site is imaginative.
Concept
Bangladesh is rightly called the darling child of nature. It owes much to the rainy
season. The rainy season presents us lots of heart-touching and eye-catching sights
and beauty.
The Enclosure was made where people can enjoy the rain.
The whole enclosure was designed in such a way so that rain water
could flow through one surface to another and people inside can
feel the beauty of rain in different aspects.
The enclosure material is tin so that the beautiful sound made by
rain is amplified and experienced when it drops on the surface.

Knowledge
Interaction
The main challenge of this
project is design a university
within a high rise because
University is a place where
student share their knowledge to
each other and interact with
others. So I designed some
interaction space where student can
gather and have a nice experience.

Concept
"EKUSH" or Language Movement occurred on 21st
February 1952 and is
the spirit of Bengali’s freedom.
This day is also considered as The International Mother Language Day.
Moral of Ekush gave the inspiration for our independence.
This is the first achievement of Bengali’s fighting back against any oppression.
No matter how much suppressed we are, we will rise again.
From the darkness, we got the first glimpse of light.
Thesis: Tourist Resort at Mongla
studio 5.2 I resort design I 16 weeks duration
Mongla is situated on the south
western part of Bangladesh at
the confluence of River Pussur
and Mongla Nulla about 42
miles downstream from Khulna
city. Mongla is easily accessible
by land, river and air.
Main Objective of the project and Brief Description
Sunderbans is the largest Mangrove forest in the world and as such posses a
uniqueness in beauty and nature. So if tourist facilities are provided in
Sunderbans and flash its characteristics to the world, it will be a great
opportunity for the tourism sector of Bangladesh.
Till date foreign tourists have very limited access to Sunderbans. There is no
easy communication to and from Sunderbans and no local facilities to enjoy its
scenic beauty.
After careful analysis, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation took up a scheme
to develop the Sunderbans and its adjacent areas as a tourist spot. Under this
scheme, a tourist centre will be established at Mongla port creating different
facilities so that from there, going to Sunderbans becomes easier.
Concept
Intermediate space
Blend with nature
Sunderbans is an intermediary forest between the sea and land. And Mongla in
the intermediary point between Sunderbans and localization. Hence the resort
at Mongla will act like a basecamp for people who wish to explore the forest.
08
Mongla is at a low sea level area and is very prone to cyclone and harsh wind conditions. The
main challenge was to design a structure which can withstand hind wind force.
