GeoCV is the only company in the world utilizing a smartphone with a 3D camera, no expensive proprietary hardware is needed. Now we require a 3D camera attachment, but we’re hardware agnostic, and as soon as iPhone 11 next year comes out with an embedded 3D camera, we gonna support it. Our secret sauce is in software, which automatically stitches thousands of images and millions of measurements into 3D experience, which could be viewed in the web and on mobile
Data from National Association of Realtors and Apartments.com show that potential residents find 3D tours useful and engaging. I remember when I was searching for an apartment, I saw a dozen buildings, but I didn’t see even more because they didn’t provide me enough information to get into my short list. A building almost lost me because the whole line of units with the floor plan I was interested in was occupied and I couldn’t view it. My wife was travelling at that moment and I was shooting video on my phone to preserve at least some visual memory to revisit the space virtually after the in-person visit.
3D tours allow multifamily owners and managers to differentiate themselves to get more qualified leads to keep occupancy rate high while spending their time wisely.
We have a solution for every customer and every property. If you have a go-to photographer or a team member who can shoot by herself, we could provide hardware and software, which are pretty easy to use. There are only two companies in the world, who were able to achieve true 3D dollhouse view and smooth navigation with 360 panoramas. Our major competitor is Matterport, a Y Combinator alumni with over 70 million in funding. They offer a DIY solution with their proprietary $5000 camera. We’re leveraging a more scalable phone with a 3D camera and have more profitable service business model. There are many 360 virtual tours solutions, but they are not producing the eye-popping and useful 3D scan of the space, and transitions between panoramas is more like teleportation rather than smooth movement. Finally there are 3D modeling solutions, which are great to show spaces that do not exist, but are not realistic enough and too expensive to show existing spaces.
