• I decided to work on two aspects of my application,
namely:
1. Displaying progress
2. Tracking your progress
• Why?
Most smokers I spoke to, said that though they
were intrigued by the idea of planning their day
around meals, they found it was more important
to see and record how much they were smoking.

Welcome Page
Purpose: Lets user enter their name, date
of quitting and upload a picture.
Test Results:
1. User said that choosing a date this
way would be tedious.
2. User would have skipped uploading
picture.

Purpose: Helps the user monitor their
progress.
Test Results:
1. Users said that they liked to see the
money they saved and days earned.
2. The picture fading did not
immediately capture the user’s
attention.

Purpose: Helps the user track their
progress
Test Results:
1. The slider did not capture the
granularity of the cigarette count. Users
preferred text entry.
8. Next Steps
Recommendations
• Change the data selection format in the first screen.
• Maybe display on the dashboard the logic for how the
money saved/life boost was calculated.
• Changes in image on the dashboard should be
more drastic to capture user attention. Possibly
include animation.
• Change the slider to a stepper in the tracking screen.
• Change wordings in certain places to make design
more persuasive.
