the ‘vampire’ has transformed from the stalking, undead minion of fear to the
romanticized (and usually erotic) tragic character of modern American culture. The
word Vampire itself comes from the word vampirism which means to feed on the life
essence of that of another person. So basically that’s what they are .

HISTORY
7. • We are years away from the vamp craze that twilight suck new life into and yet we are neck deep
into that horror sub genre .. but now we have more offerings to sink our fangs into, but the subject
matter is growing cold fast .There are few things that would get me excited for another vamp film as
a parent exciting actors in lead roles .
• When I saw only lovers left alive that was released in 2013 . (Tom Hiddleston, and Tilda Swinton,
plays a century old married couple. They refer to each other knowingly Adam and Eve . How cute
is that ? The film has a slow and steady start. They two live miles apart. Adam hides out in an
apartment in a Detroit. He is a reclusive and oppressed musician. Eve spent the last few years in
tangier exploring her culture. The couple reunites after untold years.
• On screen couple feels like they have been together for years . But how about centuries. Their
chemistry is their antiquity. Yes they were living in diff sides of globe but you can see why they can
afford too while they have forever to live. This movie is unlike any other vamp movie I have seen so
far .There Is no gang of hunters or rival clan to fight of. Not only that, but the top-quality ruby
nectar is getting to be in short supply.

• It’s the concept of the outsider. Its like wanting to have something that is not in our reach
or capability. Vampires began to emerge in popular fiction in the eighteenth and nineteenth
centuries, during which time Irish writer Bram Stoker’s 1897 vampire novel, Dracula, was
written A vampire is so many things: serial killer, a romantic, a historian, a drug addict..
