 Today the games are classified in many genres like Action,
Adventure, Sports, Puzzle Open-world many more.
 Electronic device these days has games like android mobile
games and there are many special devices for games which called
consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, Wii U , And many others.
 Trillions of dollars are spent every year in development of video
games and the most popular game companies are Sega, EA,
Ubisoft, Rockstar & others.

Social Gaming
 Video games are no longer limited to
corporate-built consoles, thanks to
the Wi-Fi accessible smartphones
and tablets that are shaping
entertainment for a new generation of
players. .
 Gaming has bled into main stream
culture due to social gaming.
 With 6 million mobile players daily,
this trend is hard to ignore
Virtual Reality
 Video game consoles already feature games tied to motion sensors, like
the Kinect sensors for certain Microsoft Xbox consoles.
 But SXSW showcased a new generation of wireless motion sensors that
paired with virtual reality for an even more immersive experience.
 Six sense displayed one such wireless tracking system that uses hand
grips and goggles to allow users to wield virtual light sabers.
Killer Graphics
 The graphics of next-generation games like “Star Citizen” are light years
ahead of 1990s games, but gamers at the convention also played and
sold the classic cartridges, showing that a good story can still age well
 Programming has become much easier since the 1990s due to the vast
resources of the Internet, so it’s possible for a team working outside of a
major studio to build a rich, complex game like “Star Citizen,” which was
named the “Most Anticipated Crowd funded Game of the Year” at SXSW.
Future Of Gaming
 Would you ever think that one day you might play
your adventure games using your real skills like
jumping and moving not by just pressing on the
keyboard? Yes That will be possible in the next few
decades.
 Video Games day by day becomes more realistic in
every sort of it (graphics, story , sounds,…) and so
the game developers want to make it realistic in
playing as well to give the player all the freedom on
the method of his playing and eliminating the
limitation of the keyboard or game controller buttons.
