5. HOW AI IS AIDING DRUG DISCOVERY
The need for new medications is higher than ever, but so
is the cost and time to bring them to market. Developing a
new drug can cost billions of dollars and take as long as 14
years. Yet with all that effort, only 8 percent of drugs
make it to market.
AI startup Atomwise believe GPU-accelerated deep
learning can help. By using the technology to help predict
which molecules are most likely to lead to treatments,
researchers can make better decisions about which
potential medicines to test and develop.

7. CONTINUING AI INNOVATION
Karl Freund, Senior Analyst for Deep Learning and HPC at
Moor Insights & Strategy, stated in a recent Forbes
article that:
- “Nobody in the industry has the depth and breadth of
AI hardware and software expertise that NVIDIA
enjoys.”
- “I don’t think of NVIDIA as a GPU company, I think of
it as a platform company.”

9. SUPERCHARGING MEDICAL IMAGING WITH AI
Medical imaging enables physicians to find disease earlier,
inform treatment plans, and improve patient outcomes.
Thanks to recent advances in deep learning, computers
can extract information from images more reliably than
ever before, which enables physicians to intervene earlier
and better understand the overall disease process.
Watch our webinar on-demand as we brought together
experts across the field to discuss the advancements in AI
that are being applied to medical imaging.
