Lean and Six Sigma are complementary in nature and, if
performed properly, represent a long-term business initiative
that can produce unprecedented results.

Alternative Formats
1. Consulting and Problem Solving
The consulting team will work in conjunction with
several on-site groups using the DMAIC model to
resolve the problem
2. Hands-on Training and Consulting
The consulting team will provide on-site training,
consulting and coaching around the problem
3. Blended Learning
A team of individuals will learning the concepts of
Lean Six Sigma using e-learning, webinars, on-site
instruction and coaching.

Consulting and Problem Solving
The work of the consulting team will focus on solving the problem with
support from internal staff. The team will use the tools of Lean Six Sigma and
follow the methodology of Define Measure Analyze, Improve, Control
(DMAIC) to resolve the issue.
Before the start of the project the team will discuss and agree on
measureable deliverables.
At the end of each phase of the project, the consulting team will present a
documented report to management.
The consulting team will be responsible for training personnel at the
conclusion of the project and establish systems that can sustain the
improvement.

Hands-on Training & Consulting
This option will involve:
•Problem Selection ( understanding the scope of the
problem)
•Establishing a training schedule (1 or 2 days per
month).
•Providing training as outlined
•Hands-on consulting and coaching around the project
using the DMAIC model
•Phase reviews
•Sign-off
