- 6. Workshop #1: Building Community Through Storytelling !Objective: teach after school leaders to find their personal stories and use them to motivate, inspire, and build community among their elementary school students.
- 7. What were the results? Safe space “When we split up into groups we really opened up to each other and we didn’t hold anything back. Even though we didn’t know each other, we felt safe sharing our stories.” Vulnerability “I learned that despite someone’s appearance, you never know what kind of struggles they’ve been through.” Transferable skills “Thank you for bring us together! This was a very fun learning experience that I will definitely take back and use with my kids.”
